Eirika motions to herself, then to Mio, and then to both of them at the same time.
"Us, the pair."

"Yes, what do you mean?"

[SOLDIER First]

"Everyone's penchance to insist we are romantically involved or should become so in the very near future?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Oh. Are you saying the idea of the two of us being romantically involved bothers you?"

[SOLDIER First]

She flushes.
"No, but.. Would you insist that a bear wants to eat a rabbit simply because it often spends time around the rabbit?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

Mio raises an eyebrow.
"No, but why does it bother you so much?"

[SOLDIER First]

"The bear enjoys spending time with the rabbit, and the rabbit with the bear, but most everyone else they know insists the bear is going to eat the rabbit or wants to, no matter what the bear says."

"I don't think that's an applicable metaphor."

[SOLDIER First]

"Isn't it? It's more the fact that nobody seems to listen to us about it than.. what they're implying."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"It's human psychology. If you deny something to them vehemently, they will assume that it's the case. Better to ignore it."

[SOLDIER First]

"Bears are hard pressed to ignore being poked with sticks."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Well, it shouldn't bother you that much, unless you....really are guilty."

[SOLDIER First]
