we have 2 magical girls, one of whom's system requires magical potential IIRC, and the other requires you to actually be a teenager, again IIRC

Just do whatever's in-character and ignore the shipping. I mean Wilson's going to do whatever he'll do regardless of whether or not you and Projeck are shipping your respective characters with Penelope.

No, he completely missed what I was saying, which was what if shipping aligned with what was in-character. Unless you're implying that that's completely impossible, in which case romantic relationships between the characters who can have romantic relationships shouldn't happen.

My point is that shipping doesn't quite do that since there are more nuances that it fails to express and even then you'd only really ought to consider your own character's ships not other ships that represent the thoughts of other characters.
