...God, this xeno research center looks so sexy to me. Mostly because it makes everything cheaper and /also/ makes decryption tries cost only 5 energy.

Leaving us with 31r/10e. We could either try decryption now or wait 2 turns. It's very tempting to wait. Hopefully it's not tooo time critical.

I can't help but notice that the research center is unique, but the reactor is not. I look forward to crushing any morale problems by giving our populace lots of energy credits.

Build the fusion reactor.

Quartal Report

At the newest meeting, the result of the last quartal are presented.

The new Xenoforma Reactor, has, for the most part, been running smoothly in the tests, with one or the other problem being ironed out in the process.

In other regards, it has been a good month for science, and we have gained a deeper understanding of the solis system than ever before. Some of these new insights, are actually of tactical importance, and we could consider us lucky to have gained this new knowledge.

Which we would be, if that very knowledge, would have not been inside the messages. Messages, that have been continuously submitted for over half a circle by now. Sadly, we have not been able to decrypt all of the message, with anything unrelated to our home system still out of our reach.

If there is any comfort, it is a small one - these messages do indeed travel only at the speed of light, which means it should take another 3 and a half circles, before any possible xeno in the targeted systems should hear them.

It's tempting to build the xeno lab this turn, then rush to an orbital shipyard and research weapons and armor. We may be able to go for a suicide strike against their logistics ships, keeping us from having to deal with them reinforcing an entrenched position. Risky, and we'd probably need the spysats.
2) REACTOR #2 BUILD NAOW.

I'm leaning towards option 2. We'd have 35r/49e (+ another 6/6 from patriots) to play with next turn, which is nice. If we do a salvage run this turn with the reactor, we could get the xeno lab and orbital drydock next turn.

Well, at the moment, we've got quite the energy generation, but we've got a very small amount of resource generation going on.

A salvage missions

We'll not have to worry about energy in the near future, so a salvage missions would give us plenty of resources to pursue the xenoresearch centre.
