Some help with a weird lair.
« on: October 10, 2015, 12:42:01 pm »

I'm still fairly new to this game, so any help would be appreciated.

I found a lair while adventuring in a new world I created. I went in to explore, and all I found was a peasant. Just this one guy. There's nothing else in there. I asked him about his profession and he said he used to be a ranger.

What is he doing down here?

Thanks. I know they only turn doing full moons, but how do I determine the phase the moon is in?

Go outside and doze until nightfall, the ( or O or ) on the top indicates the moonphase, at night you can also use... some combination of buttons I forgot to check the time/temp/date, got mine remapped to shift+p/alt+p/shift+alt+p and forget what it was before.

Does his naked rear count?

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

Wrestling is weird compared to most of the other combat skills. You don't need a conscious opponent to level it up. Probably so you can level it up while strangling things.

Full Moons
« Reply #13 on: October 23, 2015, 07:32:24 am »

Full Moons occur in these dates, according to DF Wiki:

25th granite
23rd slate
21st felsite
19th hematite
17th malachite
15th galena
13th limestone
11th sandstone
8th timber
6th moonstone
4th opal
2nd obsidian
28th obsidian

So press shift+D to see the date and then wait until the Full moon appears.
