Wuffwich takes a good look at Cyneheard's estate, shaking his head.

"Bloody Cyneheard. Never seen a man so eager to ruin himself in my life, I swear," he mutters, then looks around.

Did Conrad by any chance get evicted along with me?

Yes, He was with you right?

Now What you do know it very clear that Edgar II and Cyneheard are talk to Nationize the Church and make this Church of angleland independent from papacy.

Are you simply  allow this to happened or you will make the peasant and nobles see some reason here and rise against the king.

But It would seem that you between a rock and a hard place with this and Also who are even more loyal.

"Foreign man!" Archbishop Wuffwich of East Anglia exclaims, looking at Conrad. "We have a mission! The king and the bloody Archbishop of York are up to no good as always. Insular church of England, Christ's hairy bollocks!" he shakes his head incredulously.

"That's it, then! Foreign man, you shall be my aide in this! Follow me, salvation and vast stores of communion wine await!" he tells Conrad, beckoning him to follow but not looking at him as he leaves.

Find a comfy spot and immediately write and send a letter (remember to tip the carrier well and say he's doing the Lord's work!) to the Archbishop of Canterbury, closest thing to Christ-on-Earth we've got here in England, explaining that that great shiting bollock Cyneheard is conspiring against the Pope, and so is the king. Mention it's the usual bit about trying to split off from the Pope's authority, but actually serious this time.

Then, to the Mayor of York's place! See what he's up to.

Note - still the first day, obviously. There will be more stuff to do about this crisis later for sure!

"Mayor! Troubling tides! The Archbishop's fomenting discord, going on about some sort of Church of England! And now the king's actually listening to him, too! If he manages to pull this off, there'll be some serious trouble! They'll throw the king right out of the Church! Excommunicate the poor man! And then we'll have no Christian King of England! It'll be chaos, I tell you," Wuffwich relates to the mayor. "I need you to stand on the side of the angels here, my son, for matters are about to get satanically hairy in the Archbishop's residence. Man's tempting the poor king into actual heresy! Get the word out, mayor! I shall meanwhile use your writing supplies to send out word across the land!"

Utilize the Mayor of York's presumably well-equipped study to send out word to proper bishops across the land who aren't great shiting bollocks like Cyneheard, urging them to speak with their lords on the inadvisability of supporting the idea of a Church of England. Provide clever arguments for them to use in case they cannot come up with any of their own.

Firstly, the Pope is almost at the height of his power, despite the troubles in the East, and crusaders the world over stand at his call.

Secondly, he would not stand for the looting of churches and repossession of church property that instituting a Church of England would presumably entail.

Thirdly, this is all complete heresy and any fecker who supports it is going straight to Hell over it if God has anything to say about it.

Fourthly, does anyone really want to worship the bloody king? That's idolatry, I'll remind you. There's a commandment and everything.
