Supernatural Type: Deific Spirit: Minako is a fragment of one of the Spirits of the Eastern Sky; specifically, the spirit of the Dog. As such, she possesses several dog-like traits, including dog-like ears, preternatural senses, bestial reflexes and a preference for meat. However, her more supernatural abilities include shifting into a giant dog (Akita Inu), being able to sense lies to an extent, and being partially resistant to supernatural attacks that target the soul. She is also very resistant to suggestion or hypnotism and is unnaturally strong in dog; with slightly higher strength in human form.
Physical Description: Minako is of average height for a girl her age- around the middle of five foot. Her preferred attire makes her appear to be a delinquent; leather jacket wrapped around her shoulders over a white shirt, denim trousers and so forth. Her shoulder-length auburn hair is also quite messy, with brown dog ears sticking out the top. Her eyes are a deep hazel. She is of fairly lithe build. In dog form, she is about five foot in height, with short, white fur and glowing golden eyes. For a dog, contrary to her normally light build, she seems fairly muscular and large, even for the breed and for a dog her size.

this (dog form)Other notes: Long ago, in the Eastern Sky- or what some would refer to as 'Heaven' or the 'Celestial Plains' of the Eastern World- there were twelve Spirits that ruled sovereign over the world below. The people below venerated them; indeed, one might know these spirits better as the animals of the Eastern Zodiac. However, eventually, an untold catastrophe happened and the twelve Spirits were scattered, divided into three smaller Spirits each and spread throughout the world. It is known that if any one of these Spirits were to amass enough power and given enough time, they could take up the mantle of the domain they once occupied.
Minako is one of these Spirits, and one of the youngest in mind, having been slumbering until sixteen years ago, when she was first sighted sleeping on a bench in Yokohama, Japan, as a baby with what seemed to be dog ears. She was taken aside and raised by a childless elderly couple, who loved and cherished the spirit and raised her as their own daughter. Around her ninth birthday, she realised her powers when, to save a playmate from being run over by a car, she shifted into a giant dog and shoved him out of the way of an oncoming car. The Academy took note and duly invited Minako to board, after tracking her progress for the next seven or so years, through which, thankfully, her status as a supernatural being was kept secret by happy coincidence and people's tendency to censor the weird.
Although Minako appears to dress like a delinquent, to assume she acts like one is off. She's often laidback, easy to please but savvy to the way things work- however, this savviness in no way extends to schoolwork. She likes befriending others, and if one earns her loyalty, they earn it for life. Similarly, however, her sense of justice is quite strong, and she will not allow anyone to bully or degrade others, even if that results in some sort of fight.
