Succession game
« on: September 20, 2015, 06:46:41 pm »

Hey, I'm interested in starting a Succession game, anyone interested in joining in, please state so below, I think I'll wait a week before starting, so that gives those interested a week to sign up.

Few words of advice, take them if you wish, ignore them at your will.

There are plenty other succession games going now, what makes yours unique? Is it a story you want players to enact? Is it a challenge the biome provides? Or is it a project you want the players to overcome?

Another good thing would be telling people a bit about the embark zone. What are the features? Do we have a volcano? maybe an aquifer? Is it an evil zone? Who are our neighbors? can gobbos get to us?etc.

Just saying: Hey, I want to start a succession. Is not likely to incite people to join. And thus I am listening, why should *I* join your game?

thank you for your advice, the main purpose of the post is to start a succession game with people on facebook, and for others to wish to join in as well, I don't quite have the game set up yet, I was planning on adding details about the embark area later.

Hey, I'm from the facebook group aswell, and I'm interested in this succession game. Count me in!

I just want to know: are we going to play on vanilla Dwarf Fortress or a modded version?

We should mod the raws just so we can make furniture out of soap. You all knew it was coming. ;D

If it's just the raw then no problem. I was especially wondering if we'll have to get any third party softs.

Also, will we be able to pick what our professions are? Personally, I'd want to be a hammerdwarf  8)

Probably Vanilla, unless someone wants to help me mod it, I have no experience with Modding DF

I see no reason not to

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to disappear like that, one of my job applications I put in actually went through, but I'm back now that I've gotten everything straight, so I have a little less time then I had previously, but I think we can still make this work. How do you guys think of starting somewhere around the last week of December, say around the 31st if not before.
