"I don't like the look of that," Cueball says, following his comrades' gazes. Can the suit zoom in on the cloud thing?

Oooh, it can. The glass can tint when necessary, blocking out light to keep it from interfering. A virtual image is then projected into each retina, showing a magnified view:
Hundreds. No, thousands of little fishes, all blood red (mostly washed out because of the fog, but the visual filters screen out effects from fog when you zoom in), whirling in circles, zigzagging about, and overall slowly veering to one direction much like how the scattered electrons in a wire have a group velocity.

Whether they are feeding on microscopic creatures in the air, or looking for prey, you do not know.

Nyar walks away from the toothed monster exhausted. "Thank you, I guess" Ugh, I hope they don't expect some kind of compensation.

"A deadly swarm of alien parasites?" Nyar smiles weakly, "Out of the frying pan, into the fire." We really should have brought Arthur It looks like we could use a meat shield.

"...fish? Flying fish. This planet sucks. Here, you might need this. Nole, right?" Cueball says, passing the spade to him.

Head back to the shuttle and wait for Graves. If any rays are on the way back, kill one with the saw and haul it back.

Mark examines the meat on the ground. Are the fish in any way similar to fish back on earth? Is there a visible mechanism that helps them float?

The fish that you ate on the colony ship--supposedly similar to freshwater Earthfish even those haven't grown in Earth's tainted rivers since the 3000's--were soft and chewy, whereas these are hard and crunchy. Not that you put one in your mouth, of course. You step on it with your feet.

You all notice a faint, but constant set of fires in the distance dancing about. Zooming in does not help identify it, due to the fog, but it's visible.

Walk around and search for enemies to fight.  If I find anything hostile, use my hawk eyes to locate its weak spot and attack it using the karate/kung foo techniques that I'm sure I spontaneously learned as part of this game's battle system.

Go to the fires in the distance. "I'm glad we took the time to accessorize my suit, it's a lot more fitting."

"Now I doubt anyone will mistake me for an asshole like you guys."

((I actually hadn't introduced myself yet, but whateves.  Ah you're right.  I searched all my posts to see if I had done that yet, and I missed it.  Consider him forgetful.))

When Cueball handed Nole the spade, Nole accepted it like a gift and thanked him.  "Thanks, uhh... yea, I mean... my name is Marcus, but that's what most call me.  How'd you know that?  Ahh, it was probably in the ship log, right?  Makes sense."

He wields the shovel like a sword for a moment and gives it a good swing.  Chuckling to himself he holds it normally, content to just have something to occupy his hands with.  "Fine, you guys got that, I'm gonna hang around the ship for now and see what I can do."

Back towards ship, meet up with Mark, maybe Arthur if he isn't far off.

He waves at and approaches Mark.  Looking at the fish remains he says, "What do you think?  Think they're any good to eat?  We could try catching some using one of the parachutes I pulled from the ship."

((You sort of did indirectly.))

"...I heard you over the radio, kid. You called for help and weren't stuck in a hole like dingus here," he glances at Nyar, hoping he can feel his look of contempt. Turning back to Nole for a moment, "If this guy Graves is over here, we'll try and get a base camp set up. I've got some supplies in the shuttle. Take what you need. Let them know we're checking those fires out."

Walking with Nyar, Cueball confronts him. "Listen here, punk. You need to step up. I don't even know your name and you've called me an asshole a dozen times. We've been on this rock for all of, what, twenty minutes, and all you've done is complain and nearly die. You're damn lucky I found that saw when I did.  Get your shit together, boy, before I have to pick up your pieces off the ground. That one masochist kid... I don't know his problem, he's probably straight crazy. I don't mess with crazy. But I'll be damned if I have to babysit two grown men and a robot kid. Understand?"

Go to the fires. Take Cabinboy with me.

You and Nyar approach the lights, dragging the robot along as Nole returns to the ship.

As you approach, the lights become clearer, flickering like torchlight. Then they shut off entirely, but not before a random lightning strike reveals their silhouettes. Four men, wearing helmets and backpacks, flare sticks in hand. Rifles hang from their shoulders, but you can't make out what kind since the flash was brief.

"You talk like the people who put me under and you look like them too," Nyar's usual expression turns into a fierce glare, "I didn't crawl out of my frozen crypt just to be put under again by some old man." Anyways how is 'cueball' an improvement over asshole?

Nyar then turns to greet the four men. "So who the fuck are you guys? The local forest rangers? Or just more assholes?"

The men are far away, about a hundred feet or so. But regardless they seem to hear you, in no small part perhaps due to your suit's voice amplifiers. The band around your neck senses when your voicebox is strained, raising the volume on the external speakers.

After some time, one of them speaks out in a heavily accented voice:
"You seem strange men! From whence do you hail? Is it the fourth aeon, before the burning of Origin, or is it the fifth?"

Oh great, they're loonies. Loonies with guns.

"We're a traveling drama group. We do live performances for the small fee of a gun and some ammo." I'm always getting caught up in bullshit.

You hear footsteps in the mud. They're getting closer.

"Ah! Your costumes are splendid!" yells the speaker. He's still barely visible, so he must be either lying or referring to your shilhouettes. You could have sworn the suits didn't look THAT ridiculous.
"We do not all understand Inglish. Do you know Kretin, or perhaps Altgard? We come from the lowlands, but many of our men are Altmers, from above the plain."
