Second consecutive day of exercise! I'm already feeling much less stiff, if not exactly stronger. I managed one more pushup than yesterday, which is a start.

I'm re-reading one of my favourite books, Cosmic Banditos by A.C. Weisbecker.
This book is amazing. It never becomes any less entertaining no matter how many times you've read it. Few books can make me laugh out loud, and this one makes me cry tears of laughter. You could use this book as a doctrine by which to live your life, and it would most likely do you far more good than a bible. It basically is my bible.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Good morning, world! I haven't been up at this reasonable an hour for some time.
In a little while I'll go get breakfast, and then probably buy a loud Hawaiian shirt from one of the shops in town.

Today, in a fit of acquisitiveness I have bought the collected Hymns of Zarathustra, a ridiculously cool black denim longcoat, and a tie so loud it could deafen the gods themselves. Better yet, I got the tie for free when I bought the jacket. There are some cool thrift stores around here. :D

There is no good excuse not to acquire books. Acquire more books. One day your power will go out and you'll have jack shit to do for eight hours besides read.

Wait, did you name the longcoat or the tie Hymns of Zarathustra?

EDIT: Or is the tie "Hymns" because it's so loud, and the coat "Zarathustra" because badass name is badass and badass coat is badass?

I actually meant to list them separately, but I can see how that sentence could cause confusion. Whoops. >.>
Although now that you mention it, those names are quite fitting for the two of them. I don't think I've ever named an article of clothing before, perhaps I should start?

If you're going to be naming inanimate objects, always start with a vehicle or room. You can get down to naming articles of clothing and tools after you've gotten a Yoinkcave or Yoinkmobile.

Cave of Yoinkitude? The Invisible Yoinkjet? The League of Yoinkness Headquarters?
