Hey, roo.  We're waiting for ICs only at the moment.  I can put you on the replacement list, though, if you want.

Teneb just went out, so... that won't be needed.
Teneb was the Scum IC, a non-playing advisor for the scum.  No non-IC slot (or even playing IC slot) is open now.

All we need now is a new Scum IC, and I'll be able to start this.

Beginner's Mafia LVI: The Messengers - Day 1: Believing Drunken Rants (9/9)
« Reply #23 on: September 07, 2015, 06:21:13 pm »

Day 1

After several hours of riding, you arrive at a roadside inn.  The Grey Toad Inn is not the finest of places, but it's the only inn around, catering largely to some of those brave/foolish few who decide to explore the northern wastelands.  It is the perfect place to stop for the day: it has beds, a roof, stables, and rations for sale, all of which are either much-wanted or much-needed.

Aside from the nine of you and the innkeeper, the inn is almost empty.  There is one other patron, though: an old man in the corner, a rather atypical patron.  As you enter, he stands up, quite unsteady, and points a finger at the group, waving it around at all of you.  "Thish...you two...I see him on, um...your aurash!  You're work...working for the necromansher!  You know....the hooded one...um..." He falls to the floor and starts snoring, clearly having had a few too many drinks.  The innkeeper shrugs, but it is hard to dismiss the man's words.

They fit too well.  There have long been rumours that the infamous necromancer Nathaniel Q. Thorne has been hiding in the northern wastelands, biding his time and waiting for an opportunity to strike Cylimar.  Dozens of adventurers have gone specifically to defeat him, and not one has come back alive.  Nathaniel, in his Cylimarian days, was never seen outside of his much-concealing black cloak and hood, fitting the most descriptive fragment of the old man's angry yelling. Furthermore, few other necromancers could support an entire army of undead.

If the old man is right about the threat outside, it is likely that he is as right about the threat within.  Those working for the necromancer must be stopped.

tntey: Hmmm, cool. Why did you question Moonlit in turquoise text?

Moonlit: I think it's called C Fold 9++ (and yeah. it's a mouthful). How does the number of players heavily change the feel of the game?
