The hotel probably has a dress code, which we are quite unable to heed, so let's check out the butcher's shop.

Butcher shop it is!

...It took you quite some time to figure out where the butcher's shop. Market was completely empty at that time, but eventually you saw the signbord. You approached the door and knocked on it.

The butcher seemed somewhat displeased with having to deal with a late visitor. Anyway, he let you in.

"Aright, so you want that job... What do we got here? You're selling the meat, I'm paying you 80 francs in weekly wages, or 40 coppers if you want it like that. Deal?".

Do we have any reason to demand extra? We are immortal, with no need to eat or sleep, no known experience or skills, and questionable loyalties. Then again, nobody gives their best offer first time through.

Haggle a bit; ask for 45 coppers. We do have a cheerful and trendy appearance, after all, which is useful when selling.

Eh, really? Unfortunately, you're not from a dwarven dime novel.

Goblins usually don't need much to survive, and are somewhat good at withstanding cold and lack of nutriment or drinks, yet... Not that good.

You ask the butcher for some additional coppers since your charisma levels are outstanding.

"Huh, can't pay you more than forty-two. If you're okay with that, come to my shop tomorrow at 8am. Now, if you'll excuse me... Have a nice evening".

You must have made a good impression.

What's now?

Visit the local refuse pit, look for more trendy clothing or edibles.

After a long walk, you manage to find a local garbage dump. What a nice place.

Judging by the first look, the closest container is somewhat picked. You proceed with a search anyway, who knows, you might actually find something of use-

"Hey! You there!"

Uh-oh.

"This is our pile. Piss off, or else!"

Skulkers.

Ask who their leader is. Explain that, coming from a disadvantaged background yourself, you can understand why they might be upset at your presence, and offer your help.

The art in this is really, really good. It's pretty weird that it hasn'tgot that much attention. Or just a whole bunch of lurkers, I guess... one gets that a lot on the upper boards ::).

Thank you.

Y'know, that troubles me a bit. I do push aside important business for this time-consuming story, yet no-one's even telling me it's shit. There are barely enough comments to continue, though. if only there was a bit more backfeed concerning the demand...

Generally, I'd stop by now, for my report's getting in the way.

You could try moving it to FG&RP (forum games and roleplaying). That's where most of the ISGs are, so more people might see it.

Explain that we're new to the area and weren't aware of their territory demarcations. Meanwhile, use our Creativity to scan for something in the trash piles that can be improvised as a weapon. We might have to glass a bitch or two in the very near future.

Obviously put IRL concerns first, but I would like to see where this goes.

I just saw this today. Pretty good looking.

But! Indeed. Play the diplomacy card first. Prepare to play the fisticuffs card if pressed. Just give em a good old fashioned Goblin Punch!
