Turn 23You open fire on the creatures with your
laser pistol. They rush towards you with
deadly intent.
You managed to take out the walking crippled
creature but it's flying
friend it's moving to fast for you to easily hit it.
It closes the gap and lunges but luckily
Bulb and the
new guy move into the fight. The
creature manages to get it's
mandibles around
Bulb's neck. You shoot it a few times and the new guy hits it with his club until it lets go.
Bulb is unfazed by the events but is
obviously injured with
plant juices dripping from around his neck. You reload your
laser pistol and quickly
examine the corpse.
The
creature has skin like
Bulb or the
lightning rhino but the exposed flesh matches that of the
crabs more closely. It has 4
small weak legs which seem
prehensile despite their lack of digits. It has
2 sets of wings which appear fragile and way to
small to lift something of this size. The
mandibles aren't razor sharp but with enough force you can see them being able to
sever limbs. When you get back to camp you can take a look and see if it is
edible.
The
creature is very light, probably so those small wings could lift it. You could probably carry one each back to
Mother without it slowing you down to much. You could probably grab the
wings from the leftover as well. Getting the
mandibles off would take some more time.
You can hear
buzzing and
fighting from the
northern clearing now that it is a bit quieter.
You have about
30 minutes to explore after you are done examining the
corpse.

Author Notes:Of course the real reason the wings are small is so that I don't have to mess around getting giant wings to not look dumb and constantly mess up the layering in the image.
