The man examines you all thouroughly and says:

"I'm quite surprised that you all got this far..." he gestures towards the pistol he set on the table "I think it's clear that I already have surrendered. Now, you probably have some questions... I may answer a few. The reinforcements from the planet will arrive soon anyways. You are all dead. Anyways, you can't hope to fight the forces they have down there if you do survive. I told them this was an awful idea..."

I approach the table, slide the gun to the side, and sit across from the man.
"It was. It was an awful idea. You say 'they,' and not 'we'. Curious. We" here Newton gestures at our group "Would like to live. i suppose 'why' this was done can wait. For now, we would like to leave. Is this ship flight capable? There is much to do, and as you say, time is short."

((gah! I have like six actions I want to do right now.))

Spiderking's guy finds a computer and begins examining what he has access to, without trying anything yet that would potentially break something. If the dog approaches a computer or something, Spiderking cooperates with the dog to hook him up or whatever it is the dog indicates he wants to do. I'd RP that as Newton telling him to do that, because Newton is curious about the dog and it's capabilities and purpose.

"Reinforcements, eh?  No time to waste then."

First, since everyone is here, use the door switch to close the Bridge's blast doors.  Next, walk up over to the main terminal.  Check what functionality it has.  Especially pay attention to if it can be used to target nearby space ships and fire weapons.

PFC Fridge ignores the captain for now and takes a look around the bridge.

Check the shuttle and escape pod section. Weapon at the ready.

"Did my students sold me out? And get down on the floor!"

Build small backback from the duct tape and paper and put all the stuff inside.
Ask captain. Order golem to hold his arms as soon as he obeys. Order my weapon to follow me and enter inside the bridge.

Ozark:

Well, if it's not too crazy, you can do several menial tasks at once, and if it's too much i'll just have you do the amount I think is reasonable.

The man seems to think about something and says: "Well, the primary engines are currently floating outside of the ship, waiting to be installed. The ships manuevering thrusters are online, though you won't get anywhere with just those. Also..." the man leans over and taps a button on a panel, the metal walls of the bridge light up, showing a view of the ships exterior, they are cleverly hidden screens. You see the curvature of a large planet, similar in appearance to Earth, though certainly not Earth. "We are currently in orbit of a planet, Solaris 3C. It was colonized about 27 years ago, and the population is of moderate size. Around 33 million people."

Spiderking50:
You head to each computer, trying to find one that is unlocked, leaving the main terminal for Phil to check. Sadly, they have all been unlocked. Being skilled in the art, you attempt to hack into one:

[3+1]

You find a way past the computers defences, and begin to search through it's functionality. This terminal is used to control the ships point defence system. Odd thing to have on a freighter, it must have just recently been added by those who are renovating it you think. There is only one point defence turret currently functional. The dog walks to you, and puts it head down, revealing the plugin node, you attach it to the computer with a cable.

An error message pops up, it states: "Required drivers for "Operation Starlight - K9 - Revision 3.42.9" not present. Please install and try again".

You flip the switch and the bridge blast door closes shut. You lay in the central consoles chair, and it immediately adjust's you into an upright position, keeping you in place with artificial gravitational fields, yet allowing you to move your arms and head still. You go through several menus as you examine it's functionality. You can indeed fire at other ships through this, though it seems that job is usually given to another computer in this room. The ship has one point defence turret operational, and it seems that the main engines aren't even connected to the ship...

PFC Fridge ignores the captain for now and takes a look around the bridge.

Check the shuttle and escape pod section. Weapon at the ready.

You walk down the hallway and around a corner. The shuttle bay is empty. 6 pods, 2 are gone. The pods themselves are large enough to accomodate 15 people (very tightly packed that is).

"Did my students sold me out? And get down on the floor!"

Build small backback from the duct tape and paper and put all the stuff inside.
Ask captain. Order golem to hold his arms as soon as he obeys. Order my weapon to follow me and enter inside the bridge.

You build a duct tape backpack and throw your things into it. It fits quite well. The man responds: "Hmm... your students?" he has a sly grin "Yes, they paid me a very large sum of money to do this to you." He shrugs at your request to get on the ground, and remains sitting in his chair.

"Ugh, this ship is in no condition for  retreat or extended combat.  It's lacking its main engine and has only got a single defense turret, which might be good enough for shooting down a shuttle or two, but I doubt it will be enough to shoot down the entire swarm of reinforcements that are probably coming."

Phil eyed the captain, as several thoughts crossed his mind, before finally speaking:
"Who are you exactly?  You seem pretty calm, despite being surrounded by 5 super-powered people.  You're obviously not a clone, so why are you here?  You said something about disagreeing with some group about what's going on here.  Are you being forced to cooperate with them?"

Continue examining the console.  Check if any reinforcement ships are approaching us.  If so, identify which part of the ship they board at and if that place can be shut down or locked out.  Also check if I can disable the artificial gravity at specific sections of the ship or throughout the entire ship.

(Hmm...If we try to escape, I'm thinking we should keep the Captain around with us as either a hostage or, if we can recruit him, as an ally.  He could be useful to keep around for information, or as a bargaining chip if he's valuable)

"Okay, I confess that I am quite baffled. Why place the five or more of us at such random locations on such an unfinished ship with no real supervision and then demonstrate clear hostility toward us upon our awakening? If they had wanted us dead, why not kill us while we were out? And if they wanted us alive and useful, why the hostility?"
Newton looks at the displays for signs of other ships in orbit, the main engines, and signs of recently launched ships from the planet. Also, how long would it take to install the engines, from their current state to warp/jump/hyper capable? Or at least capable enough to get us into pace far enough to lose our pursuers? How big are the main engines? Finally, I grab the Professor (with his permission - no Judo for me) and use my power to draw the blackness out of his leg. It shouldn't take much power, but maybe a good bit of control. I use antiseptics on the wound before binding it with sterile bandages.

PFC Fridge returns momentarily.

"Good news! Still got four escape pods, so if everything goes south we can still shoot ourselves out of the ship."

He looks at the captain.

"So, I see you're being awfully helpful. And you've got a much greater will to live than those presumable rent-a-clones we met earlier. And as Private Nosebleed just said, if this is supposed to be containment for us magical types, you damn sure did a shitty job of it. Instead this smacks to me of some kind of dumb test or setup. The clones have orders to shoot on sight and poison teeth to stop us from interrogating them, and we're pretty clearly meant to make it this far. Question is, are we getting promoted or executed for it?"

"More than that, looking at your reaction to all this, can't help but wonder the same about you, captain."

Speak with the captain, filling in for Newton while he does his superpowered doctoring.

I'll update this once Aoshima posts. But, I would like to clarify. That single point defence turret is more than capable of shooting down a shuttle or two. The shells are built to shoot through ships, and are fired at high velocities and rates.

"I knew it! I'm gonna fail those bastards so badly!"

Ponder if I could get main engines installed, with or without my power. Perhaps force people down in engineering to do it? Or maybe scavange superfluous parts of the ship and build a maintainance robot to do it?

Ah, ok ill edit my last post a bit then.

Also, an action for SpiderKing50 (Unless Ozarck has a another action in mind):

"Hey, Captain.  You know anything about this Operation Starlight?"
Examine the computer to try to find out more information about Operation Starlight.  If this computer provides nothing, look at the dog and observe him for any kind of hint about installing the drivers.

I approve the Spiderking action. Mostly. um, have him hunt in the computer records for the drivers or information about them.

You see that three shuttles are approaching, as far as you can tell, there are only two places they might enter. The shuttle bay attached to the bridge, and an airlock in engineering, it looks like two are heading for the bridge shuttle bay, and one to engineering. Yes, you can do that, but, starting the gravity generators back up may take a minute.

As far as you can tell, three shuttles are coming towards the ship, they are very close. You look at a few different monitors, and it seems that the engine is in such a state that it would take you five about 5 days to install, that's assuming that you have the proper knowledge and skills to do so (Fridge has warp drive maintenence as a skill I believe).

[2]

You approach the Professor and begin to draw some of the black gunk from him. You manage to get some out, but part way through begin to use too much force. The Professor screams wildly, and you stop for now. Seems you didn't do any damage this time, and you got some of the stuff out, but there is still much left. You sterilize and bandage the wound up.

PFC Fridge returns momentarily.

"Good news! Still got four escape pods, so if everything goes south we can still shoot ourselves out of the ship."

Speak with the captain, filling in for Newton while he does his superpowered doctoring.

"A test... yes, you are all very clever. This is a test, but so far all you have done is written your name. The hard part hasn't even begun. The outcome, for you, depends entirely on what you five do. Me, I'm just going to go right back to what I was doing before all of this. Once they kill you all."

"I knew it! I'm gonna fail those bastards so badly!"

Ponder if I could get main engines installed, with or without my power. Perhaps force people down in engineering to do it? Or maybe scavange superfluous parts of the ship and build a maintainance robot to do it?

You correspond with Newton as he checks the monitors. He says that it would probably take you all around 5 five days to get the thing working. Though the maintenance drone might work well, at least it will continue to work if you all have to escape from the ship.

Spiderking50 action:

You search the computer up and down for drivers or info about this Operation Starlight, and find nothing. Ed (the dog) just sits there, staring intently at the man. Unsure what to do, you decide to ask the man what he knows about it.

"Operation Starlight? Well, it's a fairly broad project. The main idea is the improvement of soldiers using genetic enhancement, and other technologies. You may not have ever heard of it. The Federation keeps in under wraps because of the morally questionable experiments that are being done. Such as subjecting different creatures to the exotic materials used in warp drives and seeing what happens." He glances at Ed, and stiffens up a bit "Blue eyes... I would watch your backs around that thing if I were you."

______________________________________________________________________________________________

All:

((Just setting several of your questions into one area here))

The man sighs and sets his legs up on the table. He says "My name... that's not important right now. As to the reason why I'm calm, there are several shuttles filled with heavily armed and armored clones coming to the ship... coming to the ship to kill you five. No... I wasn't forced to do this really..."

He sits still for a moment, pondering something. "You all have many questions... I'm not telling you everything though. What I will tell you, is that my associates have been gathering up people like you for reasons I won't divulge. We even have a large underground facility planetside that we have been keeping the others in."

You all hear a siren sound, a proximity alert. Three shuttles are nearing the ship, 2 Turns until they arrive. So they'll arrive at the end of the second turn.
