"You look like an Ed. I'll call you Ed, for now, unless you can tell me a better name. I that okay, Pup? I'm Newton. Newton Smith. I wonder ... what's this port for, buddy? Hmm? can we plug you in? Let's find you a computer uplink, shall we?"

I stand, stretch, and wait a moment to see if the dog gives any indications it understands and has an opinion about what I suggested. If it does, follow the dog or drop the suggestion for now, depending on it's reaction. If it doesn't, take him into the medbay office and look for a suitable connector for his port. I leave the door open and keep an eye out for trouble, particularly from the ladder area. Before I head off with the dog, I assess our new group member carefully or a few moments. I also keep an ear on the radio (not literally, unless it's an ear bud, in which case, literally)

"It might not be long before this guy's buddies try showing up, but I'll make sure they don't disturb us."

Check the ladder hatch that I came up from.  If it can be locked, do so.  If not, try using my tools to jam it shut.

Now well prepared Professor goes talk to the lone clone.

"You are deadly wounded. I can help you live longer and fullfill your purpose in life. Will you let me help? Please let me help. Help me to help you. Help me and I help you."

Designate this ragged man as non-ally for my weapon. Talk his ears off. Talk so much that he wants to answer our questions just to fill soundspace with someone else's voice.

"Hey, Nosebleed, you and Loony Bin Jim loot the medbay yet? Figure there ought to be fine drugs in here. Vitamins M and K? Or maybe just some old-fashioned spiritus aethylicus?" PFC Fridge asks as he strides into the medbay after Newton.

See if medbay's got any good loot to obtain. Namely, portable drugs, first aid supplies, that kind of stuff.

"Nosebleed, hmmm?  No, no we didn't thoroughly loot the medbay. It's half finished, and we had other things going on. Hmm, you got any medical training? Think you can gather an efficient set of medical supplies? Well, holler if you need help.

Hey guy! Guy! New guy! What was that about engineering? What happened to engineering? Do we need to evacuate the ship? IS engineering still useable? We might need to take and hold that area if we want to live and fly out of here in one piece! Engines and bridge, guys, unless someone knows where we a re docked ... if we are docked."

I also keep an ear on the radio (not literally, unless it's an ear bud, in which case, literally)

The earbuds that you guys have on are earbuds, and you talk into them while holding a button down. You can also wire the button to be on your wrist or other areas to make it easier to press in certain situations.

He nuzzles you a bit when you give him a name. Ed stands up and trots to the elevator, looking at you expectedly. He noses the button heading towards the bridge, pointing you to where he seems to want to go.

"It might not be long before this guy's buddies try showing up, but I'll make sure they don't disturb us."

Check the ladder hatch that I came up from.  If it can be locked, do so.  If not, try using my tools to jam it shut.

You manage to find an overide for the hatch and thick metal bolts click into place locking it shut. Worrying that they might somehow re-open it electronically, you open up a panel and jam your crowbar into one of it's gears. Now they'll need tools, explosives and some time to open it up.

The man gives you a dazed look and sways back and forth a bit. He is stunned as he looks at the grevious wounds on his body. He speaks slowly:

"Heheh-" he coughs loudly, a bit of blood leaking from his mouth, "-my life purpose? I remember before all of us... came up to the ship, it was very.. odd.  *coughing* First the officers shuttled up with a bunch of crates, the crates had a fain- *coughing* - faint breathing within. They said, 'if you see anyone who is not crew' shoot them. Maybe they planted you all here... I don't know *loud coughing*"

"I mean, what hell are you guys anyways" he looks around in a panic, and points his hands at the dead bodies "what the hell is that supposed to be?!" He begins rambling incessantly, the blood making it's way through the makeshift bandages and the bloodloss seems to be really effecting the guy. He continues to ramble at
"Hey, Nosebleed, you and Loony Bin Jim loot the medbay yet? Figure there ought to be fine drugs in here. Vitamins M and K? Or maybe just some old-fashioned spiritus aethylicus?" PFC Fridge asks as he strides into the medbay after Newton.

no one in particular.
The room that the professor is in is pick clean, though there are a few other rooms that you check. You find some bandages, gauze, equipment for stitches, a clotting agent used to stop bleeding, antibiotics, disinfectant, and a multi-vitamin bottle that is completely filled. You wonder if you should use these supplies on the injured man, or just save it for yourselves.

______________________________________________________________________________________________

You all hear some noise on the level above you, the sound of tools and the hatch motors revving a bit. It seems your friends are trying to get it. It will still be a bit though. An authoritive voice on the radio mentions that a reinforcements team is being prepared on the ground, but will be some time. He orders all bridge staff to evacuate to the planet using a shuttle, but notes that he will remain on the bridge for the time being.

Order my weapon platform to roll into the elevator.
Use this man and nearby corpses to build the flesh golem we discussed earlier.

"Vitamins! Score!"

Have my daily recommended dose of vitamins. Then head over to the elevator. Examine carefully the options on it for one that might lead to a shuttle, and note its direction.

Ah. I wish we had a second route of attack. all piling in the elevator seems so risky. Also, now I wish I had a crowbar. Well, at least I have my ship model.
"Professor, can you build a force shield projector or something before you do ... whatever it is you are doing? Something to stop bullet from tearing us all to shreds when the elevator opens?"

Fridge! New guy? Never did catch your name. I think we'll take the elevator to the bridge. Looks like they are expecting trouble up there, but it may be only lightly guarded. Be on the lookout for any more like us. You know what I mean. Oh, don't assume they are friendly just because they are different. No telling how long the Federation has been doing this. They might have more of us, only hostile.

Gauge how my mind feels in regard to the thought of abusing gravity again. Wait for Fridge and the new guy to get on the elevator and press the bridge button.

((goddammit, I forgot my own damn name. It's Newton Smith, Not John newton. Aoshima, could you ix it in my quote to the dog? I'm editing that post now.))

"What? you don't hear them trying to force the hatch there? From above? Taking the ladder might have been best, before it was swarmed by the enemy, smartass. At least in the elevator we can skip several floors worth of bottleneck, and face just the one bottleneck on the bridge floor. But if you insist ... I gesture grandly in the direction of the ladder.

PFC Fridge looks up.

"Is that what that is? Good thinking, Private Nosebleed. You might just make it out of honorary privatehood after all! With that in mind, does your magic work through walls?"

To Newton:
"Oh right, you were knocked out when I showed up.  My name is Phil Jenkins.  I can mess with people's senses.  What's your name?  You got some kind of special power too?"

Enter the elevator.  Look around for other potential entry points in the elevator.  Analyze the elevator's button panel and check if I can tamper with it to cause the elevator doors to stay closed after it arrives at another floor

"Newton Smith. Nice to meet you, considering the circumstances. Newton gestures at the mess That was me. That guy, the Professor, he builds ... things.
Newton looks at PFC Fridge for a moment "Not sure what the G.I. here does, but he's handy in a fight anyway." To Fridge: "Probably it does. I haven't tested it that far yet, but the concept should work ... in theory it should work at any distance. Let me concentrate for a moment and see if I can feel out the guys up above. I don't know if I'm quite in shape for it at the moment though. ((G.I stands for General Issue, and is common American military slang for an infantryman, in case you were wondering))

I close my eyes and try to sense the objects around me by mass, paying particular attention to my companions, including Ed, and to the floor above, looking for humanlike mass signatures. While I'm checking my companions, see if there is a telltale that identifies them as 'magical' and that distinguishes one form from another.

The platform rolls into the middle back of the elevator, leaving room from others. You set up a wall of boxes and bring the corpses behind it, they don't need to see this... You work very hard, and somehow, a large creature comes to life and walks from beyond the box wall. It is a bit more than 7 feet tall, and has two arms and legs just like a human. It is very muscular, and has arms and legs like fire hydrants. It's face has no nose, just two slits, and it's eyes are large and completely white. It has a blank expression on it's face. Oh, it's naked also, though it has no genitalia before you ask.

You feel a sharp pain from the wound in your leg from earlier. Beneath the skin, you see black tendrils slowly spreading outwards from it, something horrible moving through your veins.

You begin to weep loudly.

"Vitamins! Score!"

Have my daily recommended dose of vitamins. Then head over to the elevator. Examine carefully the options on it for one that might lead to a shuttle, and note its direction.

You eat a very large vitamin and begin to walk over to the elevator. The professor has set up a wall of boxes and drags some of the dead bodies behind it. You decide not to ask and continue to the elevator. You look at the options on the elevator, and call upon your knowledge from the service. The bridge and engineering could have shuttles, though you are not sure if any are still here. You wonder if the ship has it's escape pods operational, they could be used in a pinch.

You remember the large blast doors that the ships you were on had on their bridges. If it's closed, you'll need tools, time, and or explosives to break through them. They are very well built, and very durable.

You turn and see a tall muscular ogre of a man(you think) walk out from behind the boxes, you hear someone weeping loudly...

Ah. I wish we had a second route of attack. all piling in the elevator seems so risky. Also, now I wish I had a crowbar. Well, at least I have my ship model.

((Fixed it, except I'm the GM, not Aoshima :P . It did seem a bit off too me too, I just decided that Newton was his last name when he called himself John.))

Well, you are still recovering from that, though you feel a new found strength, you feel that your powers will be stronger than ever before. You could use your powers now, just not extensively without consequences.

You don't know what to expect when you first try to locate things this way. At first, nothing seems to happen. But, after a bit of experimentation, you decide what you can do is apply a very light gravitational effect to the area around you (almost unnoticable to most people) and then determine object's by the amount of feedback you get. Currently, you can't easily distinguish between things, since this is new to you. But, you feel so definite feedback in the level above you, some directly above the ladder hatch, and some moving around a bit. This didn't really tire you out since you did it in a limited amount.

You turn and see a tall muscular ogre of a man(you think). You hear someone weeping loudly... behind a wall of boxes that someone set up when you weren't looking. Is that the Professor?

To Newton:
"Oh right, you were knocked out when I showed up.  My name is Phil Jenkins.  I can mess with people's senses.  What's your name?  You got some kind of special power too?"

.

You see hatches that can be accessed on the floor and ceiling of the elevator, for use in zero gravity situations. Though since there is gravity currently, someone would have to rappel down with ropes to access it. As far as you can tell no one is on top of the elevator... yet. You think you could lock the doors shut. But, you would need to do it yourself manually each time, you don't know how to make them lock automatically.

You hear a faint crying outside, turn around, and see turn and see a tall muscular ogre of a man(you think). It's naked... and it's eyes are completely white. It has a dumb look on it's face and drools a bit.
