Confiscate the zweihander, take a look down the neck hole.
Grabbing the sword is surprisingly easy; you just pull it free, hand and all. Gazing down the neck is harder, though, as when you try to climb the statue, your hands sink into the metal. Startled, you pull them back and notice the statue is melting. A moment later, there is but a pile of slag on the floor.

Wear the crown.
The crown is too large for your head, more like a like rigid necklace to you. As you try just that, it bursts into flames. Having a burning piece of wood around your neck isn't very healthy; you might want to do something about it.

Thoroughly examine area for any changes or dangers; gather equipment strewn across the ground [and replenish my arrow stack]
"Anyone want a kickass sledge?" While you were distracted with the fighting, Tea seems to have gone and detached the massive gold-colored tools from the wall. You collect your arrows as well as the weapons, and conclude there is nothing left in this room.
  • Balsa wood arming sword
  • Balsa wood mace
  • Balsa wood spear
  • Balsa wood war axe
  • Balsa wood halberd
  • Balsa wood greatmaul
  • Unknown silvery metal zweihänder
  • Unknown golden metal sledgehammer
  • Unknown golden metal oversized sickle
The weapons seem combat ready, including the wooden ones, but you doubt they're very sharp, strong or durable. The metallic ones are very, very sharp, except the hammer, which is very heavy.

The whole room rumbles as seven squares in the southeastern corner rise, forming a staircase (see graph). Each step is half a meter higher than the one before, except the last two, which are on an even level with the door. The rope lies limp on the platform.

((I'm done GM'ing for now. The golden weapons are the main 'prize' of the room, but I became afraid you might miss them when you started making preparations to leave.))

Oh stupid me that was stupid move idiot Aoshi panics and tries to pull, tear and throw the burning piece of wood out. Hopefully this doesn't burn my hair...

((That's a level up for me, do I decide what abilities I get or...?))

Rolep holds his shoulder as he walks over to and picks up the wooden spear. Spears were easy to use, and should be too hard to sharpen. In fact, he uses the golden sickle to try and sharpen it a bit better, before heading up the stairs and sitting down on the top step.

"Anyone found a potion of aspirin or something? Goddamn."

((Discuss that with Hugo. He can probably come up with some ideas for you, or you can make your own ability and balance it out with him.))

"No, no, we're discussing how to share our loot. [sarcasm]That is the most important part of any adventure, after all.[/sarcasm] I'd say Tiruin gets first pick, as she did the most, really."

"You guys done then?"
"I... I think we're done, yeah." HugoLuman tested the weight of the sword. Felt about the same as the other greatswords he'd handled, maybe a little less. 7 pounds or so? He was rather rusty with the technique, though, and with his arms having atrophied a bit over the past year, he wasn't feeling too disposed to large weapons. Still, it was probably deadlier than his axe, and he figured he'd hold onto it unless someone else wanted it.

(Armach dibbed the Zwei I think but I'm holding it currently)

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

(Will do various GMing things once I'm done with class. If people could add the XP to their sheets on their own I'd be grateful, though.)

Tiruin was all flustered because--honestly--she didn't do much (other than grab the spotlight which her skeptical thoughts keep prodding her on believing), and was all blushy in the moment's notice.

"Well...I have been interested in using the spear--was interested in Wu Shu before so...thanks Kevak," she said, handing Kevak back his staff as she climbed up the nicely colored stairs, after inefficiently trying to segue in explaining herself.

"I'll get the wooden spear, thank you. That's all I'll get. But I -do- want to know where we'll go next. The rest of us seem...err, distant, with the subtle looks on themselves. Just hope not the spider-room. I...have a thing with webs."

"That sledgehammer looks to be an effective weapon." says Adragis in his very best (read: mildly accurate) Commander Shepard impression.
He goes and tests its weight. Any huge degree heavier than your standard iron sledgehammer and he's leaving it alone.

Role just throws his hands in the air and lets Tiruin have the spear, before getting the halberd instead.

"So do we want to go through this next room or one of the others?"

"You know, I think I wouldn't mind the spiders. At least we know what's dangerous in that room."

"I could maybe use the war axe. I've practiced a few lessons of Kobujutsu with the kama, and know a few techniques. Can't be too different as long as I put some extra weight to my strikes, right?"
