"As we are civilians, we function in a democratic equal power union with elected officials as needed. I will function as the commanding officer for the purpose of this truce."
"...very well..."
The other skeletons part as their apparent spokesman passes through, wading through the water to the doorway to reach you. This takes about a minute. "...we find your terms... agreeable..." it says, extending a bony hand to you.

I just stare at the skeletons in utter confusion at how this all happened.

Kevak reaches out his hand to shake.
The skeletal soldier takes your hand and shakes it. The grip is very cold. Then, it lets go. "...it is over..."
There is a murmur from the other skeletons, and they turn around and begin to walk away from the island. As they get further away, the each, one by one, sink back beneath the water. Their spokesperson turns around to give a salute to the people on the mud island, RangerCado, and Kevak in turn, before walking away and sinking itself.

The wrist device on everyone in the room blips: +1 XP Something seems to fade: the space no longer seems to be an endless expanse of water, but rather an actual room with four mirrored walls, a square about 100 feet on each side. The blank, sepia sky above still casts an early-morning gloom, but now seems more like a round ceiling. The floor is still covered in muddy water about a foot and a half deep.

"...Well then."

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

((That'd be me. Also,)

Kyle's Carapace is really starting to peel now. Chunks of it have already fallen off. HugoLuman sees this and says "Eww..."

Suddenly, the people on the island hear a guitar playing behind them.

Kyle turns and gets ready to throw carapace.
Turning around, you see a figure slouched next to where the banner was planted. It wears a duster coat with many patches, and a ragged wide-brimmed hat of some sort. You see skeletal fingers poking out of its fingerless gloves, strumming what sounds like the opening riff to "Stairway to Heaven" on what looks like a literal steel guitar (or maybe just chrome finished), that seems to have some bloodstains on the side.
