((Thanks.))

A loud smack is heard as FallacyofUrist thuds to the ground out of a pod.

"I... I wasn't here a few seconds ago. Hello?"

"I'll check out a room while you guys get your, uh, situation, settled." Armach walks north and opens the door.
Beyond, there is... nothing. The entire area rumbles, and ribbons of light flow along the walls of every room, buzzing loudly like arcing electricity. Everyone's wristpads display System Instability. Please stand by. Armach sees several indistinct flashes beyond. The rumbling continues for about a minute, then stops.

The open doorway resolves into a large room, looking somewhat like some kind of ancient ruin. It is broad but also very long. Most of it seems to consist of a long grid of wide, wooden tiles, easily large enough for someone to lie down across. 4 wide, 13 long. There's a stone floor on either end of the grid, and there seem to be 2 chutes/slides leading down from darkness onto the one at the entrance.

((Thanks.))

There is no answer. You seem to be alone on a train, moving through darkness, though the inside is lit.

"oww... hello? Anybody?"

FallacyofUrist stands and notices the handgun he's holding.

"That wasn't there before."

FallacyofUrist looks around.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

(I've been in every room so far.)

SerCon types in Human on the keypad, ignoring recent developments.

Armach walks into the room. "That was weird. Is this all just a computer simulation?"

**hMMMM, maybe. I'd guess this place to be more half and half. Real surfaces and such with other stuff overlaid on it and a way to interface with the projections and other built in stuff.**

"No, not like that. Ever seen the matrix? Where everyone is living in a computer simulation but they don't know it. We could be hooked up to some machine and this is all being fed to us."

"No, not like that. Ever seen the matrix? Where everyone is living in a computer simulation but they don't know it. We could be hooked up to some machine and this is all being fed to us."

**Assuming this is true, this brings up several questions:

Firstly, how can we, citizens of 2015ish, be within a simulation of greater complexity then should have been possible?

Secondly, why was Bay12 targeted in particular? As utterly fabulous, with a few exceptions, as we are, its nonetheless a somewhat odd coincidence

Thirdly, should answers to the first and second questions prove insufficient, it is possible their basic presumptions are invalid? If the environment we are in does not conform to who and what we think we are, is there an error in one? Or the other? If the capability to create such a highly advanced simulation existed, it is not unreasonable to assume memory creation and such were not also possible. We could have had memories of a normal life and a unifying online forum implanted in us.

Fourthly, should question the third's possibility of our memories and possibly identities being fabricated be true, why go to such effort? Is this some futuristic prison, where criminals are detained not only a false reality, but also identities which are not their own? Even then, it seems excessive.**

Arcvasti pauses, visibly out of breath.

**Or maybe this place has a supernatural origin which, despite my knee-jerk response to this particular banal answer, might be plausible.**

"Whatever might be the nature of this place, and ourselves while inside it, we've got to think about protecting our existence. Though escape would be nice. So far this place has shown the ability to mess with our perceptions, and our very bodies. I don't want to think what else it might put us through."

Armach Stares at Arc for a bit. "So basically you have no fucking idea what this is either." He pauses to hear Hugo and then nods in agreement. He then steps on C1.
