Try to get into the airplane, and look for a first aid kit.

"Y-yeah you just fly away!  I'll m-make a hat out of you!"

Survey the area from atop a train car.  What lies in each direction?

I'm leaving on trip for a week or two, so this game will be on hiatus until I return.

You finish cutting the branch off. Let's transform it into crutch right away.

New skill: Crafting: [2] Dabbling.
Or not. Joe Smith carves the crutch for you so you are free to smite the tree.

Try to get into the airplane, and look for a first aid kit.

With minor difficulties you make it in. You find that most dapper man in his tophat and monocle is standing there. Floor is wet and... what's that long slimy thing? Snake? No, snakes are scaly. Whatever. Entire floor feels like cluttered with soft slimy stuff in neat grid formation, then some larger piles and... pile of bones? Those weren't here before...

Right, the first aid kit comes first, you can freak out later.
[Search: 2]
Nah, can't find anything. Feel free to freak out now.

((Sorry, I was indisposed yesterday, no internet.))

Help out the brother with his foot.

He got his foot set up already so let's say you help him carving the crutch because he sucks at crafting.

New skill: Crafting: [5] Professional.
Yeah, crutch done perfectly. Also carved with your initials.
"Let's move already. There's whole world out there."

"Y-yeah you just fly away!  I'll m-make a hat out of you!"

Survey the area from atop a train car.  What lies in each direction?

The entire length of the train seems run next to solid back wall and is fused into walls in both ends. Only entrances are the three next to each other on opposite wall where snakes were. Central area of the cave is covered with dirty water, small mounds sprouting trees and scattered tin cans.

"Eh, whatever."

Turn off the flashlight and pocket it. If there are any crystals in reach, try to break one off. Otherwise shoot at the base of one, no more than two shots.

If I can see the downward tunnel, head through it with my companions.

Looks like some goddamn crostalus cerastes over there.  Torvalds save me.  How can I deal with those fuckers?

Think about zoology.  What can be done to repel rattlensnakes and make it safer to travel through the area?

"Fo' shizzle, dawg, that's one fly crutch you made me!"

Now appropriately medicated, follow Joe in his path. Seems like a useful guy to have around. Make sure to store the Maybe-Excalibur shard inside my case once again. Wouldn't want to lose it, right?

Continue searching for a first aid kit.

Ignoring all the shit on the floor you focus again on the possible first aid kit.
[Search: 2] Nope. There's nothing. Might as well risk it and hope you find something good in unexplored tunnels. Also getting away from possible murdered is highly recommended.

"Eh, whatever."

Nah, all crystals are on ceiling.

[Small guns: 2] Miss.
[Small guns: 6] Annoyed by such a stupid miss you fire rest of the bullets at the crystal and are showered by thousands sharp shards. There's so many shards embedded in your clothes that you are positively glowing. No way to pick them all off. However there's five fist sized chunks of crystals on the ground so it wasn't total loss.

[Zoology: 4] There's really nothing you can do. You would need special tools or snake charmer. Speaking of snake charmers that one guy with glowing rock and dog drove snakes away fron tunnel entrances so it is safe at moment. You might want to follow them in because now you are left alone in the pitch black cave.

If I can see the downward tunnel, head through it with my companions.

Joe (and by extension Wilson and Fitzgerald) and Brother Marcel enter into downwards leading tunnel. It makes few wild turns before turning more straight. The floor of two meters wide and tall tunnel is covered with bioluminescent moss glowing teal light. Light of the moss however is not enough to produce amount of light seen in this tunnel. While not bright by any measure, the tunnel is still brighter than it has any business to be. You cannot see where the light comes.

Thanks to all the light you can see details of the tunnel. Half meter wide muddy brook flows forward from the cave you came from and number of insects fly and crawl around. Flys, beetles and some caterpillars walk and fly around ground and walls. On walls you can also see small veins of something golden.

The tunnel turns to right limiting range of vision to mere ten meters.

"Fitz my boy.. don't eat this stuff yet..."

Examine the moss, anything special about it? Also, try clearing some of it away and look for a tunnel or something that is causing the extra light to show.

"This is one blinged-out tunnel. Damn!"

Scratch at a golden vein with a covered finger (wrap it in my sleeve). See if anything comes off. Then take a look around the corner.
