Aww, my post earlier didn't send.

Anyway, Kill zone will no longer break concealment on its own, character pools now respect attitude, you can now use character pools until they are exhausted, "zip-mode" which increases general speed of play, auto-detect of settings will now aim for 40 FPS instead of 30, Avenger should be a lot nicer, what look like quite a few Geoscape bug fixes, Beginner VO no longer necessary to get scanning site at beginning of game, promotions will no longer appear before they actually are earned, Rapid fire and Chain-shot should look less silly (I hope this also applies to void rift) and a variety of bugfixes and performance increases I don't even understand enough or remember to comment on. I think it will play a lot better for some people.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I felt like that went without saying.

Anyways, reddit tells me that there was a ninja-update, and the patchnotes were slightly wrong, and they just issued a notice:
Quote from: Firaxis, apparently
Hey everyone! Unfortunately, an outdated version of the patch notes got posted. We have corrected this so now the blog and our various forum posts display the correct notes.
Two bullet points should have not been included:
The part in parenthesis for the Mimic Beacon "100 on legend, 3 corpses on legend" did not make it into this patch. The rest of the balance changes to Mimic Beacon are in.
This fix did not make it into the patch: Players will now be able to press “Load Anyways” when loading a save when the mods used are not present
We also have good news! A fix for Saturation Fire was put in, but we forgot to add it to the notes. So it all evens out, right?
Thanks!
Don't quote me on this. I can't immediately locate a source for this quote, so take with a grain of salt FTM. I can't imagine why someone would make it up though, and a Saturation fire fix making !!saturation fire!! less literal is appreciated.

Yep. I want to say the data interceptors on "Protect the Device" missions do too.

Even if they still have health?

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?

I cleared the final mission with significant difficulty. I rolled with two grenadiers and two specialists like I did for the majority of the game. I probably would have been swamped and overrun, but

I managed to complete the game, but this is admittedly because I played on easy/beginner difficulty and savescummed like a cheating bastard to do so.  :P  I do plan to play it through again on proper difficulty levels and without savescumming, but I didn't want to end up in the same situation I did with XCOMEU/EW and get bored/distracted before I finished the game.

So, first time through was for plot.  Next time through will be for challenge.

Would it be possible to make a mod with a series of numbered columns next to the pre-combat soldier list and clicking on a column along a soldier's row would put that soldier in that column's position in the away-team without needing to go back to viewing the solders?

Or maybe one box with a number and you can cycle to the number of the position that you want and then click on a box next to it and the soldier who's box you clicked will swap with whatever was in the number's position in the away-team's roster?

It would need to be extendable to at least 8 slots though as well.
