For whatever reason, the metalsmith that became a weregoat is also 197 years old. I suspect they are also a vampire; does a dwarf become hungry/thirsty between full moons?
I also plan to set up a drawbridge instead of a wall, so an adventurer could wander into the fortress, pull a lever, and fight the weregoat vampire.
EDIT: The survivor gave birth to a boy. I sincerely hope werecurses are transferred through birth; otherwise, this will be disheartening.

Transformations could mess with a unit's age, making them change ages after a transformation. Bug report link.

Units cannot be both a vampire and a were-creature, unless you mod in your own variations of the curses that allow this.

When a creature transforms, their hunger/thirst status is reset. Bug report link.

Syndromes cannot be transferred through birth.

Must explain the crazy ages.
Fun findings: werecreatures with non-were children won't attack their offspring.

I decided to muck about with minecarts. Great source of Fun. Anyway, the carts weren't doing what I hoped for, neither the dwarves, so I changed the departure conditions to ride and always, because !!SCIENCE!! mustt progress. Needless to say, I had to set up a hospital quick. How long do fractured hips take to heal?

Due to a modding error, I once got sieged by an army of toads lead by a pyromancer. Not toadmen, not giant toads, but toads. The kind cats murder.

I wonder why one of my dog got a name (not a pet name).

I checked it up in legends mode: it killed a kobold thief.
Good dog. *pat*

I think a zombie trolled wandered into the first cavern from one of my earlier forts to my new fort. I'm not sure but I'm assuming this because there isn't a troll on the deceased list and it killed a fish man spearman.

A fisherdwarf walked on the minecart tracks deciding "restricted" was just a suggestion. The cart derailed the fisherdwarf was thrown back five tiles into a wall and fell one z level badly bruised but generally fine. The dwarf that was riding the cart was launched even further, bounced across the ground, and had her foot split apart. I made the fisherdwarf the only active doctor and forced her to treat the wounded dwarf.

Ya I'm fairly certain that cavern undead are coming from my past forts. Zombie trolls keep coming into vision.

The expedition leader gave birth to a baby.
A moody dorf asked for raw green glass and I had none.

I had already changed the raws before world gen, hoping goblins would attack when populaition hit 20. But it seemed I got all kinds of neighbours, kobold, human, dwarf, elf, but no goblins...

oh wow my new embark is awesome geologically

not only i have magnetite and coal and volcano access on a 2x2 embark (thank you, volcanism variance) but i have marble at z-level -2 and only 11 levels deep what the serious fuck

i think i broke advanced worldgen

Also there are some heated rock errors. And I'm not sure I have water access, gotta check the caverns.

My fort has all 3 iron ores, native platinum, bituminous coal, and dolomite.
All in about the same level, too.
I used regular worldgen and didn't even set ores to Everywhere!. Just Frequent.
Also, beasts and savagery were at max.

I think this is the end of Violetgold.

We found adamantine, and we started digging the hell out of it. Before we had mined 20 blocks, something horrible happened.

Also, interestingly enough, some of the demons seem to be really weak. They are made of materials like ash, and even regural dwarf clothing protects from their punches. I'm not sure why this is, but regural dwarf clothing also protects my dwarves from cave crocodiles and giant olms and giant toads. Its probaly because my dwarves can run away from them before getting into a real fight.

That said they have !!deadly dust!! that kills all dwarves in seconds...

Looks like sometimes mining out only like 3 z-levels of an adamantine vein can sometimes cause this.

Here is a good question: If I put up a fortification instead of a wall where the werebeast is, will they be able to escape and will they be able to commune with other dwarves?
Since jumping was added, it might not be the safest idea.
