"The cafeteria incident? One of my abilities is to make you relive our worst nightmare. It goes a bit out of control sometimes, a bit like your ability, though rather less severe. So I was making you think your ability was going out of control. I managed to break off before it got too far."

Cynthia is simultaneously afraid and fascinated. "...before it got too far? What would've happened?"

"You would have a horribly vivid vision of yourself collapsing and your ability spiraling perilously out of control, complete with pain and nausea."

Cynthia is visibly disturbed by the prospect, although nobody really notices.

"Breaking off before that. I... I don't know what would have happened, although I can probably guess."

She slips it off over her head and instantly changes.
Her skin is much redder, her teeth are pointed and she is complete with short, sharp horns.
"Well... this is very different."

Ether is still trying to open the coffin.

Kumo gets to his dark area, and sits down. He conjures an azure flame, and watches it.
I feel strange today.
The flame flickers in other colors.

"Oh, don't talk like that. Surely that cannot be true."
Yukari is still wandering around....

"I do not think any of those others I met, even wants to see me again."

[Happy Demon]

[Kumo]

"B-but... I."
My father, he's everything to me. He knew... what did he know? He never told me about... me.
Kumo's fingers grow claws, and his eyes become solid black. The flame darkens and is absorbed.

"Kumo. Focus!"

Akia forces significant amount of emotionally charged foxfire into Kumo, well, significant to a Tsuki at least. Temporarily establishing an equilibrium, although that won't last very long if a purifier doesn't show up soon.

"You only mentioned your father earlier. What about your mother?"

[Kumo]

"Wh-what about... her?"
She was never around, sh-
Kumo slumps forward.

(16) Cynthia encounters what appears to be a room made of lit candles.

Akia pings the principle, presumably via thought cause the principle can read minds or whatever it is he does. <Sir. One of the Kitsune students is at serious risk of Kegare infection. As in, we need a purifier here. Now. This can't wait. Summon the one we used last time. Also someone needs to investigate whomever raised him, they also may be at risk.> ((We should probably talk to Twin about this in PM HD, so they know what's going on.))

<Understood, Akia.> Suddenly, all the requisite materials are present, and footsteps are heard as a bald monk runs into the room. "He was right. This is urgent." As soon as he is shown it's safe, he begins preparations.

During her dialogue with Derek, Cynthia realises she's wandered back to the 'dark, foreboding entrance'.
Stepping through on a whim, after a while she finds the room made from lit candles.
"Hmm..."
Cynthia takes a closer look at one of the candles.
