Milenko puts his tray away and wanders back into the common room. He throws his bag over his shoulders and sighs slightly.

"Now I just need to find out where I'll be sleeping and I'm good."

Ether notices Milenko has entered the common room, and in an effort to prank him, shapeshifts into a 20 dollar note and moves in front of him.

Milenko kneels down and looks at the note, face clearly showing that hes not sure what hes looking at.

"Someone missed the trash can really hard with this. Why is it made of paper, not plastic? You guys do use plastic for wrappers and shit, right? If you still use paper then thats silly."

As he picks up the note, Ether shapeshifts back into human form "Surprise! Got you good!"

Milenko gently sits Ether back down on the ground, still looking fairly confused about the whole thing.

"Uh, okay? You got me by pretending to be wrapper?"

Hearing David's explanation the Yugoslavian turns around to give him a disbelieving look.
 
"Wait, you guys still have physical currency? Not even plastic, the whole paper shebang. Doesn't having to carry around even a wallet all the time get amazingly annoying?"

Milenko gently sits Ether back down on the ground, still looking fairly confused about the whole thing.

"Uh, okay? You got me by pretending to be wrapper?"

Hearing David's explanation the Yugoslavian turns around to give him a disbelieving look.

"I guess, I just know that trick from my book. Shows him the manual on "Things not to do on Earth" "I just pay for things with trade."

Milenko shakes his head.

"Nope, exchange student from another dimension. My power is being a vested interest of multi-dimensional megacorps. As I said before, its a good power."

"Intriguing."

"Not really no. Just stick it in a pocket."

"But you could be using your pockets for so many other things. I can't imagine a wallet taking up space for a few pens or a pocket knife or a match book or anything else. Electronic is just more convenient."

Yuri looks up at Milenko.
"I guess you are not of this realm?"

Milenko shakes his head.

"What I need to learn to control." Fred's face is also undergoing massive crystallization, which, before he can suppress it, takes over his face.

He blinks, and when his eyes open, they are glowing white, and his pupils are hollow black circles.

"What's going on? Who are you?" Fred asks Cynthia. His voice is much lower then before, and not his own.

If she's scared, she doesn't show it. In fact, she looks downright fascinated.

One of Fred's arms actually rushes forward towards Cynthia's face, but remains an inch away, shuddering. It is almost completely crystallized, and the fingers have changed into gem-like talons. Some of the crystal on his face starts shrinking.
