Sam will crush Mogwai like a tiny bug.

Random map? Sure.

Elimination Match V
Mogwai the Devious  VS. Sam Squatch

Yet again we have a match between the largest of our gladiators and the smallest, the yeti and the gremlin, and at last a battle somewhere other than the meadows.

Right, well standing upon the bridge is Sam Squatch, the racially confused yeti who was able to slay the Northman by making a fist sized hole through his head, though the poor guy clearly showed remorse after doing so. What can the talented wrestler do to a much smaller creature like Mogwai? This beast weighs in at 300,000 Urists

And this little bastard, Mogwai the Devious truly lives up to his title. In the qualifying round against Narthan the Crundle Bundle, Mogwai pulled the old, 'look over there!' trick before backstabbing the poor crundle. This cankerous little bugger weighs a measly 10,000 Urists. If there was ever a time that I'm biased, it is now. Beat that cheating little green guy Sam, beat him to a pulp!

That little. . .! Mogwai can never be trusted ladies and gentlemen, pulling yet another trick from his book, using the area to his advantage. During the fight the tiny gremlin told Sam that he was going to slip off the edge, the yeti of course turned around long enough for Mogwai to cling to Sam's head, repeatedly stabbing it until the brain was punctured. If were seeing anything here folks is that the little guys are just as dangerous as the big-uns..

Damn, it almost seems like the little guys have an advantage due to their size.

There might need to be some balance with the point totals and discount on dodging.

Yeah, since AI doesnt charge anymore at the first attack and dodge/parry/block occurs much more often i call for points rebalance!

We could try weight classes.

I don't want to needlessly complicate things, next tourney I'll lower the points marginally for tiny characters and reduce their dodging discount just a bit.

As the tournaments continue, I'm sure we'll have a better grasp of what is balanced and what needs tweaking.

Anyway, we're all DF players. We take pleasure in losing in totally unfair situations ! The balancing process will be as fun as the stable tournaments !

Elimination Match VI
One Bow Juan  VS. Myrma the Defi-Ant

Welcome back gladiators, to Water Hazard, here we have the sharp-eyed(?) mushroom man and the incredibly defensive ant woman.

One Bow Juan has come to this tournament with one goal in mind, make his father, Two Bow Joe, a proud fungus. And I believe no matter the outcome of this match, he has done it, he's the last hope for Portabelo though, at least for Plump Helmet Men wining this tourney. Weighing in at 50,000 Urists this is one fun guy. (Yes I said that)

A mushroom with impeccable aim is hard to beat, that is unless you've the strongest guard in the known world. It is as if Myrma was made to counter Juan, with her four-point defense, it sure is difficult to land a scratch on this insect! She weighs a neat 50,000 Urists, not too shabby.

And just as expected, Myrma's four shield technique staved off any arrow that Juan could fling at her! And with the mushroom not being all that good at hand-to-hand combat the rest was history. One tenderized plump helmet later and we have an ant going on to the quarter finals!

I would remove the different dodging prices entirely. They already begin with extra points, I feel like that's a pretty huge advantage in itself. Of course, I'm definitely biased.
