And have me relay the outcome and what not, that could work well as a test, to see how the matches would be displayed. Though, I would say anyone who participates cannot change their gear from then on. Or else they would be able to change stuff around and what not. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't change my stuff after, just for fun. If there's lurkers on the fence, this might help them get in. Also you get a test run of experience. Don't mind if there's one or not or if others want to send their champion instead.

Good points! I won't mind doing it. Doesn't even have to be a one on one. Though I suppose if anyone wishes to place their gladiator forward in a superfluous duel against Crush the Crusher there should be no harm.
