Seargent
seargent major
Petty Officer
Warrant Officer
Bridge Officer
Fighter Pilot
"No rank selected"
etc.
I notice that several of you requested ranks that aren't on the list I linked earlier. I assume it's mostly an aesthetic choice, and that most of you don't really care about the intricacies of commissioned vs enlisted vs NCO, etc. But there are some peculiar implicatiosn to some of the choices some of you have made. For example, Taricus' claimed rank of Seargent Major implies that he's probably been in the service for at least twice as long as most of you and has received a Senior appointment.
None of you are Senior officersThere are a couple other weirdnesses and inconsistencies....and I'm going to ignore them. Rather than formalize a system that's internally self consistent, I'm just going to go with the names I assume you guys have chosen purely based on aesthetics rather than as a covert means of gaining in-game advantage. Let's agree that this won't be a problem. But if it does become a problem, be forewarned that there may be a retcon.
Related to the above, everyone should be aware that Taricus and Ghazkull are not members of the Imperial Navy. They are Stormtrooper Corps. That's completely ok. But, different service, different command structure. Kind of like Navy vs Marines.
Fighter Pilot Cromwell.
No character names. For games with this many players, they make it difficult to keep track of things.
((This looks like its filling up. Can I still snag a spot?))
Yes, but you're the last one. Get your character in soon. Let's assume that you were in your quarters sleeping while all of this happened.
Character programmed input into the transmitter
After a review of the sensor logs, check in on the transmission log to see if there were any non-authorized transmissions and compare all transmissions made to points where the once per minute microsecond engage/disengage, input as an automatic process on one especially paranoid day, is missing due to usage of the communications array.
You appear to be suggesting that at some point before the game started you write a program, and that you want to check this program that you wrote before the game started. I'm not going to allow that. Sets a bad precedent. May as well have somebody say that they pull out the gun that, oh by the way, they hid under the table last week.
Our communications utilize the Holonet. This is a primarly Imperial communication system, and very expensive. In addition, it seems very unlikely that these communications are not encrypted, consider they're routed through central communication centers.
So why didn't the Garrison commander believe us.
Imagine that AT&T installs a dozen cellphone towers in your neighborhood. Imagine that they encrypt all data that travels between those towers. Does that mean that anyone with a cellphone making a call that passes through those towers is therefore an AT&T employee? No. And neither does the fact that you communicated over the Holonet mean that you were therefore an Imperial Navy ship.
Everyone uses the Holonet, not just the military.
Also, that wasn't a garrison commander you were speaking to. It was the junior officer manning the communications desk.
what time do sign ups stop?
Right now, but GentlemanRaptor is being grandfathered because he asked before the cutoff, even if he didn't submit a character, and IronyOwl who's posted actions but also hasn't submitted a character. I'll PM them.
Can I get a crew manifest
