Oh this feeling of dark thoughts. I don't know if EVERYONE has it, but i certainly do (and you can bet your fat arse that i went through a dragon phase too; see that game called The I of the Dragon). Sometimes a bit of these dark thoughts surfaces, as you can see on my avatar (if you look at it for a while) and my occasional predisposition towards creeping people out. This is really only the tip of the metaphorical iceberg, as there are much worse things lurking in the deep.

In other words, nothing to be worried about, it's your behaviour that matters. :v

Dark thoughts do happen quite a bit sometimes, far as I know it's normal. I still get tempted to kill people when I'm talking to them sometimes, I can feel their breath cutting off via strangulation or their necks snapping, etc.
What matters is how you act on them in my opinion.

I occasionally get the temptation to bite a chunk of flesh out of particularly annoying people's shoulders.

Sounds like that one fanfic where Goku has a Super Saiyan battle with Hitler.
I came from the OOC thread.

I'm sorry.

EDIT: No I'm not

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

you guys should do sports. Martial arts is good too. That might help some. Especially striking martial arts. I find grappling martial arts very... angry. Like, it's really easy to start hating someone whose choking you from behind.

Didn't help me deal with MY rage issues, but my situation was a bit out of the ordinary.  It isn't a bad suggestion tho', most sensei aren't to keen on rage on the mat, so keep it under control.

Its ok to have overtly dark thoughts once in a while. In fact I think pretty much everyone has thoughts on completely absurd stuff that they'd actualy never do, but end up thinking about it anyway because the human brain is funny like that. Its almost an involutary thing too, just like someone can make you involuntarily think about stuff you find disgusting just by mentioning it to you or having you read it about it somewhere.

Seconding the suggestion for martial arts. Find a good school that teaches emotional balance as well as physical exercise.  Also, try volunteering regularly, like once a week, at a local shelter or food bank.  Something that gets you out of the house and engaging with other people is usually a good antidote.

Everyone gets into this rut once in a while. The important part to not wallowing in it.
