The moustached officer seems about to let out a sigh, but suppresses it. "...No."

The cop with the phone, however, does sigh and he finally stops leaning on the doorway and steps into the room. "Look... we're sorry for the trouble. It's just, this lady came into our town, she got drugged up and robbed one of our folks. Miss Angeline gave her a place to stay and a temporary job out of the goodness of her own heart, and this lady just up and does that."

"And that's terrible, man," you reply, "but I've been here for years, and I've always gotten along fine with everyone in town. Why would I help someone like that?"

The officer stands next to his moustached compatriot. "Okay, okay. We're not making any accusations here. We just can't let her get away. Sir, if you know anything, anything at all, please tell us."

The two cops look at each other, seeming a bit unsure, but then the moustached one says "Fine. Just keep your eyes out."

Check the time and if it's a reasonable hour go talk to Miss Angeline. It would be good to know what supposedly happened. If it's not a good time then go back to the cabin.

Well, it's after midnight, and cold and wet and dark out, and a five mile walk up the highway through the woods, but you're not sure you want to be around the cops for much longer, so you set off North alongside the road.

(Also, can I ask for some feedback on the game so far at this point? I'm not too sure how I'm doing.)

(I've been rather busy since that started, is why.)

(I wasn't strictly talking about the update speed, that seems okay (faster than I ever update things at the very least ) but it seemed to me like we spent a good number of updates w/o much of anything really happening. Although maybe update speed has altered my perception. I dunno.)
