I feel like we should build a wall rather then traps.

Hmm, We should definitely look into getting some Cannon Fodder at some point. Here are some action suggestions for after we set up Camp.

1.) 05 Tidae: Use 10 Wood to Fill the Land surrounding our Village with Spike Pit Traps.
2.) 15 Tidae: Use 50 Wood to build a Kennel for the Herbivorous Spiders to prevent them from being caught in our Traps.
3.) During Their Spare Time Laborers should Look into using Herbivorous Spider Silk as a Trap Component Or Clothing Material.
4.) 04 Tidae: Gather more Wood.
5.) The Paragon: Supervise The Trap Builders to maximize their Efficiency and recall what other Races and Tribes live in this Region.

I know that this will prevent us from building houses early on, But we're Humanoid Insects, Comfort isn't exactly a Top Priority here.

I'd recommend trapping the tunnel entrances of the cat sized creatures and using fire to smoke them out of their warren. Don't want potential predators lurking around where we're going to live after all.

Five of the Tidae use ten wood to build some spike traps. For each trap one wood is needed, so ten traps can be made. You manage to secure the north and west of your village using spike traps.

Fifteen of the Tidae create a kennel for the spiders. They estimated they needed 50 wood, but in the end they only required 20!

Four of the Tidae cut down trees. They each manage to cut down a tree, and one tree grants the tribe 4 wood. You gain 12 wood!

The Herbivorous Spider Silk is extremely sturdy, and quite sticky too, so turning it into clothes would be quite unpleasant but not impossible. It can be used to make ropes used for other purposes, and it's the ideal material for nets and the like.

Your Paragon is not sure if there are any tribes around here, but he has heard a lot of stories about "the Chosen", a race of dark elves who despise any other race. Several other, less common stories include the Kashan (blue humanoids), the Eyes of Truth (elves), the Detached Federacy (elves), the Cuiatil Tribe (frogmen) and the Komanols (blob things).

5 Tidae: forage fruits from the trees to the east.
5 Tidae: dismantle cart?
4 Tidae: Create nets from spider silk, with Paragon supervision
5 Tidae: cut down non-fruit bearing trees
5 Tidae: explore along river.

But don't dismantle the cart instead use the nets to set up fish traps

The cart can be used to transport goods later on. No need to dismantle it.

Try putting some sort of powder or water on the silk to remove the adhesiveness. Water could in theory rinse the sticky off.

The stickiness is a plus for a net so don't really see why we want to remove it.

.... You've doomed us all. Granted. Everyone except for traps are executed. Random sci-fi nonsense is required to be taught in schools.

You have discovered a small brook. Some more of the fragrant flowers have been discovered
4: Small, shrimp like creatures have been discovered swimming in the river and brook
5: Your scouts stumble upon a cave. Loud grunts, roars and scratching sounds can be heard. Your scouts are too afraid to pass the cave

5 Tidae explore along the river
5 Tidae manage to gather 15 kg of cherries each. +75 food
4 Tidae and your Paragon manage to create two fishing nets
5 Tidae use the two nets to set up two fishing traps. One in the river, and one in the newly discovered brook.
5 Tidae manage to dig a warren. They need 10 logs to keep it from collapsing. -10 wood

All of the food and the Tidae are currently in the warren.
The Tidae create some paths between the pasture, the warren and the cart in their free time.
