((I do not speak Portuguese so I have no idea what our character and the peasant are saying. Also yes if Portuguese is going to be spoken a lot then I will be too lazy to translate it all.))

Translate the Portuguese to English in our head.

Completely ignore the voice in our head talking about Google translate and keep talking to our new friend.
You strike up a friendly tone and answer his questions, you then ask him where the nearest city is. He beckons you to follow him. After a few hours, you arrive in Nampula, and find it under siege by the Tanzanians. The peasant drops to his knees and starts crying. You examine the area, and find the whole city surrounded by men and war machines, and you see a great multitude of mortars and artillery on a hill to the west. You feel an overwhelming hatred towards the attackers, but you don't know why. You have no idea why you care so much for this insignificant city, but you must destroy the Tanzanian army

((How dare those Tanzanians attack our new best friends home!  >:())
Deep within yourself, you channel your anger for the Tanzanians, and your arbitrary love for the Mozambicans into your strength. You charge up the hill where the mortars and artillery are raining fire down upon the desperate, yet persistent defenders and the helpless civilians indiscriminately. You Approach from the south side of the artillery and are greeted by an army of infantry 100 strong with automatic weapons pointing their guns at you, and you are a lone man with no armament or protection standing in an open field.

Charge!!!
(listen to this as you read this next paragraph.

You yell a bloodcurdling war cry as you charge across the field. You hear machine gun fire as 10,000 bullets fill the air between you and the attackers, you smell the smoke and blood of the battlefield, you feel pain as a number of bullets graze you, tearing your skin, and you taste the fury giving power to your body. But, in that moment, you feel... peace. You feel that your life, has been building up to this moment, and that this is where you belong: Defending your country which you hold dear.

Your memories comes back to you. Memories of your childhood. Of your father, dying a heroes death in war. Of your mother, sacrificing all her possessions to move your siblings and you to safety from the advancing army. Of your 2 older brothers, following in your fathers footsteps and defending the country they love. Of your older sister, joining the Red Cross to help the army in any way that she could. Of your younger brother, lying about his age to join the forces. And, you; you finally remember yourself.

You joined the army the day you turned 16, leaving this very same city to fight the Tanzanians just a few miles north. You remember your younger brother being alongside you when the battle started, then losing him in the heat of the fighting. But most of all, you remember your mothers final words to you before you left: "If anyone in this world could be our savior from these evil men, its you." With your knowledge about yourself finally complete, you find the strength to continue the charge.

Despite the sheer improbability of your survival, you run through the wall of lead across the entire field, your rage now replaced with tranquility. Against all odds, you reach the army without any life-threatening wounds.

Attack with the fury of a thousand starving dingos!
The army facing you, had they lived the encounter, would have described you as being in a thousand places at once, completely destroying their supposed one hundred to one advantage. In a few short moments, the entire army was wasted, with everyone either dead, or too wounded to continue fighting. You set your sights on the artillery a thousand meters away.

Get to the artillery and bomb them with the fury of a thousand flying carp!
You run to the nearest artillery cannon, and grap one of its high explosive ammunition and toss it at a mortar, You repeat the process until the entire artillery is wasted. With that threat gone, you see from a distance some of your own soldiers emerging from cover and fighting more effectively against the onslaught. But it is not enough, the mass of infantry entering the city is consistently gaining the ground. And you are much too far away to help effectively.
