So, it would seen the queen has sent me to this place she calls a "New concept settlement" with "state of the art techniques" and "dynamic development". I see why we she's queen, all of that came out as honest!
Well, I arrive at the place and find myself with a bridge raised to my face, along with I think dead goblins and trolls trapped in cages. Well, I order the dwaves inside to lower the bridge already. It takes them a day or so, apparently I was already in command of the place which meant I actually had to tell them to move levers. And noone really knew what was the bridge lever
After a good drink. I choose to take a look around
I start with doing what any good Dwarf oversee does. Checking the neighbors to see where I should run off to and hide once this whole place starts going down
Well it seems the Humans are at War with the elves. Seems like the perfect place to go! Let's find out a bit more about these humans

We have discovered TWO veins of adamantine. Excellent. At least some sign this isn't a complete disaster
One of my weaponsmiths started building something. I haven't heard anything of him being taken on by the wee demons of inspiration, so I'll guess it just happened while I was away. Or I'm surrounded by unatentive morons. I'm told several of them are Legendary Observers, so I'll assume the first really
Some migrants arrived while I was digging town towards the adamantine. (I also notice I haven't dwarfed myself yet and do so now. I also dwarf my sucessor. I have plans for him)
Some ghost miner rose up to haunt us. I start engraving a slab for him. Once it's finished I found out we already had one engraved slab for him. I just build both of them and every other memorial slab in the statue garden that has that magnificent horse bone statue
Almost reaching adamantine. This is the last floor before digging into the vein itself. I found an Artifact Hatch during my rounds and chose to place it here, making it relatively useful. I dunno why I need it really, but my mama's advice is solid "IF you're digging to adamantine place a hatch before digging into it". Well, I ordered them to use the Artifact one. Probably a desecration or offending, but my mama also always said "There are lots of problems in the world, but that one ain't mine"
My first attempt at digging into the adamantine fails. We managed to get a rock, but the stairway is flooded with lava and the rock falls into the lava. (My first time mining adamantine by the way X_X)
Oh well...we have a lake or something a couple of levels up. I'm gonna let it all fall here and just create some walls of obsidian
Our weaponsmith with a mysterious construction mania finishes his artifact. It's an Iron Short Sword!
