You can enter the game mcclay. Most of the players are present with us as well, so I believe that this will be it for the time being. I want to develop people's stories and I think I'm at maximum capacity, even with Ghaz coming back to help out.
I developed some good stuff for you guys, so feel free to poke other players to get back in and interact with each other as much as possible.

I just realized i have no bloody idea how a Weylandish uniform would look like...

Somehow a mix of a tartan, a norse helmet, a roman scutum, plus breastplate looks in my mind intensely amusing. But then again how else would they look?

Tartan surcoat over a mail uniform, tartan cloak on a breastplate plus mail arms and legs for officers, for freedom of movement.  Obviously, tartan colours depending upon clan.  Stout hobnailed boots, possibly studded leather rather than chain gloves for grip.  Classic nose helms for all, and what would fit better; pikes and heavy shields or wide-spaced claymores?

Truly, Weylanders are as hairy and uncouth as the hearsay has it.
Mcclay, I will get you started soon, sometime today even.

The uniforms sound awesome. Weapon-wise , they go with axes and ballistic shields. After all they charge lines of musketmen on a regular basis and come out on top with minimal losses. The idea was more or less that they saw the signs of the time what with massed firing doctrines and decided to counteract that by making relatively large rectangular (think scutum the shields romans used) shields of light metal and ceramics allowing them to effectively charge even massed line infantry formations.

Despite lack of modern metallurgy and chemistry they should be able to build effective shields nonetheless since muskets have a far lower muzzle velocity than modern firearms....

at least that was the idea as to why they are so heavily armored and still charge like madmen.

Well, until rifles and smokeless powder are introduced...

Btw mcclay, your stats are in the Dramatis Personae section in IC. Fire away, you are good to go.

If we're using late 1700s numbers, there were around 800,000 people living in London.  Bear in mind that London was capital of the whole of the United Kingdom at that point*, so is not representative (in fact, this might be representative of say, the city of Preston).  Using a neglected client kingdom as a baseline, then, the population of Dublin in 1800 was approximately 180,000 people.  I feel this may be more representative of Sheepstead's population.

*Or it would be shortly, as the Act of Union joins the Kingdom of Ireland and the Kingdom of Great Britain (formerly the Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of England, which joined in 1707) into the United Kingdom in 1801.

However contrary to Dublin, Sheepstead is a major Trading Hub between Brighthall, Lonemine, Preston, Weyland and Groan.

Wouldn't that make it bigger?

I would say that it is somewhat bigger than Dublin, but not as big as London. Other cities of the Storm Coast are the top capitals. Sheepstead is a significant city in this region of the Storm Coast though, and it is feasible for it to be again a capital of the Mirish Coast.
