I watched a group of soldiers go down fighting against the corpses of comrades who'd died before them.

we test another sample, this time on children.

I watched five men and women gunned down in an abandoned factory no one cares about.

I watched a man sit comfortably in a nice armchair, sipping scotch and laughing as he ordered a woman to simply stop breathing.

I watched hundreds of men and women in orange jumpsuits herded like animals into empty rooms that filled with gas and fire.

hundreds more are told they have a chance for a lighter sentence, and a chance to serve their country.

I watched the world nearly die in a thousand thousand terrible ways. Sometimes we would have had time to scream.

Site-17.
This is where it all happens; security, containment, protection, and research of many of the world's metaphysical phenomena, especially in West Europe, where Site-17 is located. Site-17 is where you will work for most of your career, for it is in dire need of positions for research and security. Whether you are a scientist coming from the most prestigious educational facilities, a field agent working to contain even more of these phenomena, or a prisoner sent to the Site for a lighter sentence, Site-17 is dangerous; no day is truly routine.
This remote place, located deep underground in the Swedish countryside, will be your home for most of your career. Better get comfortable.

Appearance: Lanky, with an almost permanent stern expression beneath his glasses. His eyes are a sharp grey, his hair a jet black.
Discipline: Medicine (Oncology), with a background in the occult.
Backstory: Records of Gunther pre-acquisition are very scarce. What is known is that he was a resident of [REDACTED], Frankfurt am Main, before moving to [REDACTED], in [REDACTED], Sweden. His studies, known by the Foundation to have been at the University of Hamburg, were in Biology, specifically in biology of cells and so forth, in order to pursue oncology. His interests were often in the occult, such as the Spear of Longinus- known to the Foundation as SCP-[REDACTED]- and his investigations eventually landed him a spot in the Foundation.

Name: Nana Nishizumi
Appearance: A short, but stern looking woman, with her black hair kept in a bun over her hair.
Backstory: Recruited through one of the Foundation's front companies as a security outfit, the Foundation immediately took note of her ruthlessness and skill with wielding firearms. When questioned, Miss Nishizumi simply stated a past in the Japan Self-Defense Forces. No records of Miss Nishizumi were found, but she was recruited nonetheless due to a lack of family or friends outside the Foundation- or within, for that matter.

Appearance: Somewhat mousy, but thin-limbed. Always nervous and shifty.
Backstory: Responsible for poisoning five insurance agents and his own wife to collect on her insurance.

Name: Snorri Skaarsgard
Appearance: Cold, aloof, with grey hair and sharp blue eyes.
Backstory: Murder of a young girl, followed by mutilating her corpse and hanging it from the gate at her school. His sentence was pushed to death row by an outraged jury.

Name: Jonah Mendez
Appearance: Hispanic. So, short, well-tanned skin, black hair. Speaks with a mexican accent.
Discipline: Theoretical physics.
Backstory: Jonah was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico as an Anchor Baby, a baby born in order grant citizenship to Mexicans who crossed the border illegaly. He lived a normal life, for the most part. He got average grades in middle school. While in high school, his father died as a victim to Lung Cancer. Not knowing how to handle his fathers death, Jonah put all his effort into his classes. He didnt leave his room, always studying. Needless to say, his grades soared as a result. In Physics, which was what he enjoyed the most, he got a 98%, the top of his class. When he moved out, he got a scholorship to MIT that payed for his schooling completely. While at MIT, he studied just as hard. He double majored in Physics and Engineering. He got such good grades, that MIT decided to give him a free ride in his masters as well. He graduated and got his masters in Theoretical Engineering. That was when he got a letter from SCP, inviting him to work in Europe. The pay was good, and so Jonah decided to leave the States, and become a researcher at SCP...

Appearance: Average height, slightly chubby, balding, older fourties, salt and pepper hair.
Discipline: Archaeology
Backstory: Years of boring archaeology somehow led to Dr. Rook being noticed by the foundation.  Apparently some of his work was gradually growing closer to one of their outposts, so he was hired to burn his life's work and come work for the foundation, with the implicit threat of his disappearance should he refuse.

Appearance: Nothing very special. 5ft 6, 150 pounds and an average build. He is pale do to staying in dark rooms and staring at computer screens, and wears glasses because he is half blind without them
Backstory: As a former employee of the FBI, he got the idea of leaking vital information from his desk from that one guy who did that and got off free in Russia. Unfortunately, he didn't get away with it like him, and now he gets to see the REALLY secret stuff first hand. Probably won't be a great time for him, though.

Name: Friedrich Richter
Appearance: a tall scared man of  germanic descent. a wild red beard and short blonde hair encase a rather blunt face. His entire face is scarred and his eyes have something about them which entices people.
Backstory: Welp, sooner or later it would inevitably happen. You can't work as a mercenary these days for whoever you want anymore. There are rules, you can't just go out and about and work for whoever you damn well please...i spare you the details of the endless court hearings about my monstrosity, how i worked for "terrorists" or that i am an unethical, amoral bastard. I am no different than mercs working on the other side. Their side. Lesson learned. I've heard rumours about this place, about the low rate of people who actually make it out again. But fuck that, i love me a good challenge.

Appearance:  This man reminds you of a dangerous spider. He has large blue eyes that are like two chunks of lapis lazuli. His silky, straight, white hair is very short and is worn in a severe, uncomplicated style. He is tall and has an angular build. His skin is light-colored. He has a large nose and long-fingered hands.
Backstory:  Agent Damien was recruited from the US Army Ranger corps after an incident involving [Redacted]. During further specialized training he showed exemplary performance in agility courses, survival training, and CQC and long ranged training presumably from his time in the rangers. Damien does not have any known relatives that would recgonise him.

Appearance: Far Eastern looks and skin tone, short-cropped black hair with orange-blonde streaks in it.
Backstory: Born in South Korea, emigrated to London with his grandparents when he was still a child. Former hoodlum and serial burglar before he was convinced to join the Army by his therapist. Distinguished himself in combat and was later recruited by the Special Air Service and, unexpectedly, became well known for his obedience and capability in sensitive covert actions. He came home to London and married his therapist, remained listed as in active service with the SAS when he was recruited by home security and was sent along with his family to Dublin for his training in fieldcraft, he was 25 years old at the time. Divorced his wife and began operating in deep cover as a counterspy, where he posed as a gangster in various locations in Asia for nearly 5 years sabotaging hostile intelligence forces. Returned home after successful completion of assignment and spent time at his home in London for a few months before he was contacted by SCP recruiters.

Backstory: Dr. Arnstrem was recruited out of the University of Stockholm, having been one of the most gifted students to pass through the halls of the institution. He has worked at the Foundation for a number of years, always performing solid, if unspectacular work.
