"Well good for you, we have physics and not randomly giving people guns here."

"Yeah. I'm not exactly a native to this dimension, and the tech thing needed to happen in Dwarf Fortress anyway. And yeah, I'm not sure if I'm feeling remnants of the past, or if something is really charged around here, but there is a definite charge in the air. Maybe I"m just sensitive. Look, I don't know, okay? I was just going about my business, attempting to build an aimable steam cannon thing, and then I get sucked into Dwarf Fortress. I'm pretty sure I'm now a normal dwarf, and we can talk about that later, but I just want to know what's going on here. So, why wouldn't there be a large amount of magic around here?"

"Because something is using all of it.  And I do mean all of it, we were completely out of magic for the last couple minutes before whatever the heck THIS is happened."

[chaotic skies]

"Sounds interesting. I think I'm going to avoid that for a little while though, figure out what's going on, and try to see what I am."

[TheBiggerFish]

"Sounds like we need to run experiments...  But.  That can wait until we figure out what the Sudden Ominous Announcement was..."

"Ooo. I like Sudden Ominous Announcments. They normally mean !fun! and interesting stuff is going to happen. Although, considering said !fun! and interesting stuff is happening to me, I might not enjoy this as much as I hope. Also, do you have any food or anything? There isn't much to go off of in the middle of a forest."

"Sounds like we need to run experiments...."

"I CAN DO THAT!"

[chaotic skies]

"I have a feeling you're a bit of a maniac, considering you seem to like to yell. A lot."

"Sounds like we need to run experiments...."

"I CAN DO THAT!"

"You may not.  Besides, you don't know what experiments I'm going to run.  You will not be able to do most of them."

"Ooo. I like Sudden Ominous Announcments. They normally mean !fun! and interesting stuff is going to happen. Although, considering said !fun! and interesting stuff is happening to me, I might not enjoy this as much as I hope. Also, do you have any food or anything? There isn't much to go off of in the middle of a forest."

"Oh, no, it has not been at all fun.  Nor will it be fun.
Yeah, we're...A bit too well-stocked.  There was a zombie army.  And then explosions.  And a necromancer who I have my eye on I remind you."
At this point, the mage is glaring at someone apparently plotting a map.

"I have a feeling you're a bit of a maniac, considering you seem to like to yell. A lot."

"Yeah, he kind of is."

[chaotic skies]

"Alright, so...zombies are bad, almost ran into one on the way here. Thank whatever god we have here he's not going to do experiments on me, perferably not at all. Explosions are interesting if you know what you're doing, which I kind of do. Necromancers are good if they help us, and terrible if they don't. And sorry to hear about all the insuing death, but hey, atleast it's kind of calmed down around here, right?"

"Yeah, mostly."

[chaotic skies]

"Good. I like it when things aren't actively trying to hunt me down and kill me. So...can we go to the canteen? I'm kind of starving here."

[TheBiggerFish]

"Yeah.  I'm just going to arrest this guy first."


"You.  You're under arrest, by the way."


Suddenly handcuffs.

"So why's he being arrested? I doubt this is his first time, but what's he do?"

"Lead a hostile force into this force and commanded them to attack."
