[You may feel free to try. At this time, you can't refine the ore, extract the useable isotopes, protect yourself from radiation, or make any use of whatever you obtain. It would take many years to figure any of that out on your own, especially without prior training.]

[The main barriers to modern guns are in materials science and manufacture infrastructure.]

<<You can play with radiation. Sure. But good luck using it for anything. The only way you can kill someone with radiation is to get it under their skin, and that takes days at least. I reccomend slipping it into leaders dwarf's food at some point.>>

<<Anyway, we need better infrastructure for planes. Aluminum used to be the most expensive metal, because it was the hardest to get. Even more rare than platinum, actually.

And then we learned electicity and stuff.>>

[Yep. Aluminum refining does produce some really nasty slag, and uses a lot of electricity.]

[You don't actually need it, by the way. The first planes were largely wood and cloth.]

((Getting aluminum refining going would be fantastic for aircraft, though, as well as resolving any economic problems for a long while. I'm aware of the variety of materials aircraft can be made of, though aluminum is an ideal choice for a few reasons - mainly being the aforementioned thrust:weight ratio and the amount of drag cloth generates.))

I'm also aware of how rare aluminum was in the past, since it's incredibly difficult to refine without electricity.))

"Oxygen production is already planned, as a secondary product of the electrolysis that makes the hydrogen. For nitrogen, I know the general principals of the Haber-borch process of nitrogen fixation, which would be highly useful for both fertilizer and explosives. It would require a rather large, rather strong, steel containment vessel though, for the extreme pressures required."

[Additionally, it's possible to run engines off of hydrogen/oxygen.]

[With real tech batteries, sorta. With magitek batteries, almost certainly.]

[I apologize for the radio silence, I was winding down from my precalc exam. Update tonight when I get home.]
