Well, Athletics is a skill proficiency, Water Vehicles is a tool proficiency... I think.

So what I want to do is take the candle and the oil, break the table, pour oil on a stick and set te stick on fire to use as an improvised club of flame. How much of that would I be able to do in one turn?

You might as well just douse your sword in oil and light it Thoros-style. :P

You do have torches in your pack though, remember? No need to sunder the furniture.

Anyway, lighting a torch is a full round action. You could collect all those things in one turn with your movement, and then spend next turn lighting something on fire. So two turns if you want to do all that.

I also figured we weren't going to have all our spare equipment with us, but if you allow it...

I'm not totally sure why I'm using shocking grasp on them when even with their resistance my weapon does more damage. But I got too much of a headache to consider that question right now.
