Bump. Either we move it to the 16th, for maximum attendance, or we keep it on the 2nd. If anyone's made plans for transportation/day off work to make it on the 2nd, we should probably do that. We'll have other meets where we can get people together.

If nothing inconvenient has already been settled for the 2nd, I'm fine pushing it to the 16th.

Unless anyone speaks up with "Hey, I've already committed to the 2nd" I'm going to assume we'll move it back.

I'm fine with the 16th. Thankfully I never actually put in the time off request for the second because of all the scheduling conflicts, so there's no problem with work.

Fun coincidence: some of my family have decided, entirely independently of this meetup, to meet in San Francisco on May 2nd

So let's assume that the 16th is indeed the day to meet up. What time should we be shooting for? What would be a good landmark to meet at? I assume Japantown is a big enough and busy enough place that we won't be able to randomly run into each other on the street.

No way in hell I'd ever be able to come, and I'm not sure I'd want to (I'm frankly a massive asshole in person, and horribly awkward too), but this sounds awesome regardless. I'd like to PtW and see how it goes.
