Tohru frowns at Virgil.
"Oh my..."

Kyousuke shrugs.
"Some do. I have no clue what baggage you might all have, though."

Virgil looks at Tohru and raises an eyebrow questioningly.
"What?"

"I have my suspicions. Maybe those things we summon are just our grief, or however we cope with it. If white-airy is what I think it is."

"It feels like possession of a persona comes with a certain level of mental instability.  If you really think about what they are...  Perhaps in only in certain cases is it grief, I feel like my Treant is pretty self explanitory, a lightning struck tree. A being that was utterly destroyed and brought to life in the same moment." she allows herself a weak smile, I see you.

"How would grief apply to all of us? I can't think of anything traumatic that happened to me."
"Neither can I...."

"That's where my initial idea fails, I mean I saw Samson and I'm pretty damn sure Virgil's abs ain't givin' him any grief. But then I thought, why limit it to grief? We all have shit we don't want to deal with. However large or small, there's always something even if it's just boredom or exams. Maybe they're our coping mechanisms, what we protect ourselves with."

((Wait what? I thought Personae were just how people hide their true selves because their true selves are idiosyncratic assholes that society would never accept. Since the only Persona I know for sure Branson's theory correctly applies to is Whaitere, and only because his coping mechanism affects how he socially interacts.))
"It's still a guess though, and not too useful seeing as we could interpret them all in different ways.

Biraido had taken a while to get home, his ears were still ringing and his body was sore, he needed to be more careful in there, he also considered that he needed everyone else's numbers, he wasn't going to give up on his hopes of uniting everyone, no matter how foolish.

As he arrived at his house he began to climb up the side under his window, only stopping briefly to see that his parents had fallen asleep in the living room as usual, he then entered his room, and sighing began to undress, rubbing his bruises, then before he went to sleep he picked up the picture, as was customary every night, kissed it, and began to dream.

((Nah, it things like 'Men ain't touchy feely so I'll become a real hard man to hide it' persona then take shape of a macho mech thing or 'Man, it boring around here, but I just have to suck it up' persona become disco ninja frog. Evolved personas seem to take the person as they are so the ice queen get an Amazonian queen and the Idol get the loveless queen.))

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

((From the persona wiki 'Jiraiya (児雷也) is a character from Japanese folklore. He is a ninja who uses shapeshifting magic to morph into a gigantic toad.' Personas seem play it fast and loose when it come to appearance.))

((No, I understood the creative liberty in interpreting those figures. What I don't understand is where the hell the disco part of the description came from.

Wait does that mean that I can have Whaitere evolve into Frederick Nietzsche with an afro and handlebar mustache?))
