Branson blinks several times before slowly beginning to speak "Congrats on your demotion, but uh" he pauses as he attempts to find the correct words, preferably ones that wouldn't offend any of the people present "isn't Karma still, kinda useful to have? I mean, if he gets kept on a leash, _{maybe even a literal one with a choke collar,} it'd be better for the people left on the team. We're still a person down since the girl from the other class didn't show up."

Kyousuke shrugs as he sees Miss Aisaka also walk past and head downstairs without a single comment.
"The guy we rescued was a Persona user, so, er....we're okay on the numbers front.

What I'm not okay with here is the fact that something must've happened to tick both of them off."

"Not exactly. There's still only six people in the team. Assuming Asada gets replaced and the new guy joins."

"If I'm honest, I'd rather a slightly smaller group than someone who rushes into a fight and spends half of it splayed out on the floor nearly dead."

[Empiricist]

"That's why I started mentioning choke chains. I wasn't kidding.

Anyway, I'm kinda worried that he might just enter through Millennium and then we'd have to rescue him, or find his corpse. I mean, considering the odds, I'd rather keep him where he can get set on fire than let him run amok and possibly enter Achronos anyway."

"You have a point, but the risk of him fouling up an operation to save someone else is too high, considering he nearly fouled up this one by bringing the Reaper upon you."

[Empiricist]

"Come to think of it, what attracts that thing? Does it just wander around looking for people to kill? Or does it track us down through something?"

"We haven't gotten close enough to study it to that extent- with the exception of once- and I don't intend to ask you to do so. That one time was enough to figure out the extent of his power."

[MrVoid]

"He is useful, and I suggested keeping him, but he is also too wild, Ms. Aisaka don't have proper means to give him a leash.  And what are we going to do, put a plastic explosive collar on him?" she shrugs. "As for my demotion, I would have requested it anyway, I'm not cut out for leadership."

"Do you need a hug or somethin'? You've been pretty down on yourself since you were selected for leadership. And 'sides that, hugs are good for ya."

Tohru tilts her head, concerned for her.
"Yeah. Is everything alright, Asada-san?"

"As for my demotion, I would have requested it anyway, I'm not cut out for leadership."

"That's why I was congratulating you." Branson drily remarks. "Wait, so do we pick a new leader? Or is she choosing someone?"

"We don't go for explosive collars. Too much risk of them exploding due to fire."

"How about a choke-chain? Like the ones on dogs. Just pull it and choke him. I mean, even if it doesn't do much harm, it can hurt." Branson mimes stabbing his hand "I would know."

"Clair is to take my position, and I will be trading places with the new guy.  And I haven't been hugged since I was three, I certainly don't need one now."

Virgil's jaw drops.
"Jaysus! My parents died on my birthday and that's some of the saddest shit I've ever heard."

"Huh, we'd better go tell her that then. Also, seriously? That's pretty effed up."
He glances over to Tohru and Kyousuke "On that note, is everyone here like us? As in, carrying a lot of baggage I mean."
