Why would I have posted it before now? I was a clone, I certainly wouldn't want you to target other clones, irrespective of what point the game was at.

I think the game works fine the way it is, but the clones need to win individually, not as a team. Otherwise, the optimum strat for the clones to win would be to all claim lover.

This also makes the Friend role a bit pointless.
