I claimed lover because I thought being the first person to claim may give me a little more validation. Its better to be out in the open and truthful, then to lurk. That, and because I am lover....

I think the question is, does anyone know the identity of the Lover? The best friend might not know who the lover is, but the rules for this round make it unclear whether one of the clones might (though if they know, they'd probably keep silent or lie about it, except at part of a ploy). In which case, the best friend is essentially just a clone who doesn't have to be eliminated for the hero to win.
