Bolts in Bins/Barrels

1. Can bolts be stored in barrels? If so, is this glitchy?

2. Are there still bugs associated with storing bolts in bins?

In my current experience bins and barrels are fine now, as items are taken to the container, not the container taken to the items. The issue was that items couldn't be removed while in a container being hauled, which no longer happens, as far as I can tell.

They can be unusable even if the cotainer is not being hauled.
For example, if some dorf want to put a gem in a gem bin, then all gems in the bin are "locked". Although nowadays they no longer carry bins around.
That is why I disable bins when I want to make gem windows.

I've had issues with dwarves not willing to pick up bolts in bins for use.  I have large no-container stockpile where I store my bolts...

My biggest issue has been ammo availability.  First off, they go through SOOO many bolts during training and hunting that I can never seem to keep up since a lot get destroyed while training.  Even putting channeled out holes behind target dummies only goes so far.  On top of that, every bolt that lands on the ground (even the ones inside via the aforementioned channeled out floors) are set as forbidden.  If you want to permit those spare bolts to be picked up, I have to do it one at a time since they don't stack on the ground. What a pain.

Lastly.. once I start making wood arrows, some dwarfs still hang onto their bone bolts even if that is not a listed material in the ammunition screen of a squad.  I guess some dorfs just like bone bolts once they start using them to begin with.

Stuff in an area can be mass reclaimed (or forbidden, dumped, or melted) using the designation menu.  It's d-b-c to reclaim, and d-b-f to forbid.

That tip is a *massive* time saver, it made picking up goblinite sooo easier...
