Well since this was posted in adventurer mode discussion, I'll focus on the adventurer mode parts though it is mostly a fortress mode update. There'll be taverns in towns and along roads which you can go to and probably buy alcohol, maybe hire mercenaries, get quests. I know that the second release of the tavern update will contain playable gambling for fortress mode and as such probably playable gambling for adventurer mode.

Its a feature. Impregnating booze is a planned tech tree for dwarves and this is a sneak peek at it.

if npcs start drinking this means the ability to spike someone's drink with vampires blood then out them as a vampire the second they digest the stuff.

Forget killing them! Make a ton of vampires then start a fort, increased chance of having vampires come to the fort, meaning well of unlife, meaning vampire soldiers!

But then they won't ever drink booze and will work extremely slow!

Not sure if dying of old age is an honor or a shame for weaponmasters. On the one hand, it means they never got the opportunity to die in glorious battle. On the other hand, it means nothing could beat them in glorious battle.

Just mod dwarven blood to be booze.

They drink enough to the point were there blood is probably 60% booze.

They called me crazy but I knew that giving my race high musicality would pay off one day.

Joke aside I might finally start playing adv mode to hang out in town and challenge lords in dance constests.

I just want my dwarfs to gamble all the money they've earned doing hard-core smithing.. oh boy, then one of them goes crazy about it and kills the rest just because of the insanity of the gamble itself.

A really big update it will be, hope it's worth the wait and not so long like it was with DF2012-DF2014 :-D
