"Where is the fourth of us?" Ivan Dume asks, casting a suspicious look around.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

"Well, I do thank ya for ya time. Apparently I gotta go of on some errands. Keep safe, sir."

Follow Ivan, after gathering my blowdart, handgun, and various ammos to take with me.
"We must find him, then!"

Seek the fourth of our team.

The Finn sighs, and leaves the bar, following Ivan.
The Finn arrives at the hotel just in time to see Ivan and Devon heading out, and decides to join them. The three of them, lead by Ivan, search around for the fourth member of their team.

[wits=6][5=lessened overshoot.] Ivan remembers the professor guy mumbling something about staking out the outskirts of town. He leads the group straight out of town and into the surrounding area. They come across mostly the same things as the professor did, namely a lot of dense bush and a hill overlooking the town. They eventually find their way to the road, where the professor also noted a decent amount of trucks coming and going. The Finn, with the keen eyes of a sharpshooter, spots something lying at the side of the road. It is a small book, titled 'Basic Spanish for tourists'.

"Disappearing like this suddenly. Very inconsiderate!"

Look about for any signs of where this guy might have gone.

... come to think of it, who was the fourth guy?

The fourth guy was an american professor. You mostly just remember him being absorbed in his book as you were waiting for your ride to this place.

You look around for any sort of signs, but don't find much. At some points a bit away from where you found the book, his footsteps just abrubtly stop. [wits=5] Looking closely, you notice some other prints following the same route as the professor's. They're larger than his, but they're faint and you don't have any idea what might have made them. They vaguely look like prints from a large cat, but severely distorted and oversized.

"He might be dead now," Ivan Dume says grimly. "Did not think there would be danger immediately as we landed!"

Follow them tracks! Have the others follow as well.

be really absorbed in the tracts. Would a cat large enough to make that track be light enough to make it that lightly on the ground. . . After that, pull out my blow gun and finger my darts. Keeping them at the ready.

Make sure I can pull my rifle out quickly, and cover the rear.

"He might be dead now," Ivan Dume says grimly. "Did not think there would be danger immediately as we landed!"

Follow them tracks! Have the others follow as well.
The three of you follow the tracks to the best of your abilities. You lose sight of the tracks when whatever made them apparently went onto the road for a bit, but after some searching you manage to pick up the trace again. You follow it  to the other side of town, not too far from the banana plantation families' compound before you lose the tracks in the thick vegetation. You are currently about 30 meters or so away from the compound wall, but there is no way of telling which way the tracks were actually going when they stopped.

be really absorbed in the tracts. Would a cat large enough to make that track be light enough to make it that lightly on the ground. . . After that, pull out my blow gun and finger my darts. Keeping them at the ready.
Well, you're no zoologist. But you let your mind wander a bit and try to imagine how big a cat that leaves that size print would have to be. You gulp when  come to the conclusion that the only way that size footprint would be that light is when the cat is made out of fluffy marshmallow. You somehow doubt you're going to come across a marshmallow cat. You grab your blowgun tightly, just in case.

Make sure I can pull my rifle out quickly, and cover the rear.

"Shouldn't have gone off on his own..."

Keeping to the rear of the group, you fumble with the guitar case in an effort to make your rifle easy to get to. The best you can do without having the rifle out of the case is stuffing the extra rounds in your pockets, loading the rifle and leaving one of the case straps undone. You're sure you can get the rifle out quite quickly like this, though it will mean throwing the case to the ground.

"So, ah hate to state the obvious, here, but, we aint dealing with no ord'nary cat now. this thang is unnaturally light on its feet. like its made of fluff and marshmallows. Only othar sane option is it has wings. . .  but ah dont see no evidence of that. and we woulda heard it."

"Wings aren't always loud."

Keep an eye out for this cat.

"Mystic megacat. Probably related to plantation somehow," Ivan Dume concludes.

Examine the compound wall. Any signs of it being scaled recently? Mud? Blood? Anything like that?
