I think we can argue that StanStan's death occurred after the war ended-- FacePaint wasn't involved in the war, she just has some personal vendetta against us-- or at least that the war's over now, with only one dead mancer, so the prophet still owes us his hat.

Alternatively, if Gilly or another mancer dies, making his prophecy correct, we can jump into the lava and then reincarnate, making three dead mancers, so he's still wrong, and STILL OWES US HIS HAT.

The purple of Gilly's garment will make a fine lace for our Opalescent Amulet, once she won't need them. She won't need them because she will have Berlie's sword embedded in her chest, obviously, driven through her by our strike, and any other speculations on the matter of why won't she need them are redundant.
