We really need to figure out how to replenish our various abilities. I guess for now we should head into the darkness, and head in the direction the arrows on the sign indicate?

+1. Make sure we memorize them well before we go in so we don't get lost. 1 step for each arrow?

Well, remember how our chutzwagger was low at first?


Then we got a pep talk, and then this happened:

I think every one of those little bars represents an increase in recharge speed. This would mean that DeASt can use brutelyness more often than us.

Walk in, Then strafe 2 steps to the left, the take one step forward and to the left, Strafe two steps to the right, walk 1 step forward and slightly to the right, then Take one more step forward and to the left.

What about left one room, left one room, upleft one room, etc?  One arrow per room. Based on the map I think that would put us left/downleft to the blue room without running into any walls that we know of.

edit: but in this case, is the first left into the cave, or is it into the cave and then two more lefts?

That's possible too, and we should probably try that if this doesn't lead us anywhere special.

Assuming this is a possibility, I put together a projected map.

Light grey is rooms we know are there but haven't entered, dark grey ones exist if deadringer's guess is correct.

Of course, for all we know, it could be directions on where they put all the traps, so perhaps by following the directions, we are just going to walk over every single trap they put in there. v0v One way to find out, right?

Also, wait a second. The blood trail goes out of frame off to the right. There isn't any door off to the right, is there?
Turn around slowly to avoid alarming the gnarly catbug that may or may not be there. Check whether or not there actually is anything there.
