I'll freely admit Sanders basically has no chance now short of a bolt from the blue knocking Hillary out of the race, but the fact that so many areas of the DNC are trying to ignore and stifle dissent in the ranks is disgusting to me. That's not how you bring a divided party together. That's how you push people away to other choices.

Yes, it really sickens me how rigged against Clinton this process is.  Clinton won 53% of the Nebraska primary but Sanders got 60% of the delegates.  By far the biggest discrepancy in decades.  The party apparatus doesn't give a shit about the fact that the democratic voters clearly favor Clinton, they are desperately trying to overturn the results no matter what it takes.  It's disgusting what these Sanders fascists will do to support their candidate.

Or alternatively, maybe you shouldn't cherry pick the events to decide that YOU ARE BEING MISTREATED DAMMIT.

Can't speak for its general respectability, but I can say that particular article (and the other one they've got) is kinda' shit, especially from a news reporting angle. Did a pretty poor job of actually explaining anything that was going on with even the most remote of clarity. Fairness where it's due, most other articles I checked (probably seven or eight before I hit the one I linked above and stopped looking, which at least tried to sorta' give a timeline of what was happening even if it was still fairly one-sided reporting) were also about as bad, but... yeah.

I guess it was chaotic enough that the reporters were confused as to what was going on.

@maniac: I think even you would admit there is some favoritism going on with the DNC towards Clinton, not a huge lot, but it's there. More like little bits here and there, not counting the superdelegates because superdelegates.

The democratic party has given Bernie Sanders fair treatment.  What they haven't given him is their support.  And it's fucking entitled as hell to think that they should give their support to him.  He doesn't want fair treatment, what he wants is favoritism.

You dont see Clinton supporters in Nebraska howling their heads in outrage and demanding that they change the rules so the primary results are respected.  You dont see them bitching and moaning that they are being mistreated.  The Sanders camp is entitled as fuck.

I'm not arguing the delegates, I'm not arguing the vote. (At the moment.) I'm arguing how the party has already decided we should stop counting votes for Sanders just to make it seem like Hillary has all the support behind her. How people even within Sander's own campaign have already started mentioning how he needs to throw in his time and money to support Hillary instead.

You don't get the support of people who disagree with you by saying "Shut up and fall in line." You get their support by listening to them. Hearing them out. Taking note of their issues and maybe trying to find some compromise. As you said with Nebraska... 53% of the vote... and very few of the other states she's won have been blowouts. He's gotten a solid 30-40% in most of the states that he lost. You might forgive a candidate for ignoring the minority who only turns out in single digit voter blocs, but better than a solid >1/3 of the party is dangerous to ignore and stupid to pretend like they don't exist when you're still depending on their vote in a few months.

Dude does seem to be pretty chill about that sort of thing, all things considered, even if he's cheerfully pounding the populist drum. I haven't seen* very many complaints of that nature coming out of the guy himself, and last I checked he is on record that support for hillary or whathaveyou is pretty alright, too. Don't think he's really tried to mitigate the supporters fervor either, though, heh.

*As always caveated by the fact I'm not really paying that much attention at this point, of course. It's entirely possible I've been missing things!

She has family to care for her, right? She should have health insurance too, and savings. People like that are easily able to take care of themselves if they put a bit of effort it instead of lounging around and expecting the government to help them.
