Trump's pretty shady if you ask me.

Aren't all of them shady to some degree? Even Sanders, he could have a slight shadyness just by being a politician.

Not that I'm trying to invalidate the 'trump/cruz/hillary is shady' argument.

Kasich backstabs Cruz in Oregon (after screwing up getting Kasich's name on the voting pamphlet) Hey, all's fair in politics, right?

Honestly, amurican left is becoming increasingly more like south american left, which is something you, should, in fact, be scared of.
Could you provide a more specific statement with a source/examples of this?
Aye...
I don't get it.

1st reason - Militants out of minority groups: Nobody can't deny that both Hillary and Sanders are making huge use of masses of people that go out on the streets and break shit for a supposed cause. This runs amok in south america and usualy becomes the hard core of a left politicians campaign and presence when he's not liked by many people. The reason for this is twofold: the people who take part in these groups are also generally unliked, and when they get something they perceive as support from someone in power, the group starts to become more and more dedicated to said figure. This hasn't got so far in amurika yet, but the embryo is certainly there.

2nd reason - Universities are filling up with left leaning support activists and protests, who are willing to go against anything and anyone they view as contrary to them, at times with teacher's support. Do I really have to cite every example of this that cropped up in the last 2 years? That uni in which a black student group was literally protesting to have them separated from anyone from another ethcinity? Traditional events being boycotted due to being called racist by some group leader or another? The extensive use of this as political leverage by candidates? This has been an issue for a long time in south america, which is only now turning it around, at least in br.

3rd reason - Candidates accused of crimes and under investigation not receiving significant rejection by voters who are indifferent of their political position: Sure, the whole hillary email thing is controversial, but hasn't she been actualy investigated by the FBI? I think thats a pretty big reason to rethink one's choices in politicians, yet this is brushed aside as some sort of scam or even as a conspiracy by many voters. This is a phenomenom south america knows all too well.

4rth reason - Candidates that have shown support for other leaders who are now seen as corrupt and terrible worldwide are not exactly being called out for it. This isn't a new one for sure, but I have a personal gripe with this, because Obama was openly supportive of the previous president of br, now a very likely candidate to go to jail for being the head of one of the biggest corruption schemes of recent history, and hillary has shown support for Roussef, our current almost impeached president who IS an accomplice of the previously mentioned president.

There are others, but I'm too lazy to list them now, I'll try to get back to this later. But honestly, some of these reasons are still embrionary in relation to glorious amurikkka, but its stuff thats happening, and there's people turning their heads away from it simply because it doesnt fit their political agenda, or because they are indiferent to it. Now, I'm not saying you should vote Trump, specially since the negativity he causes (or that has been caused around him, conveniently so) may end up giving strenght to a future very lefty and very shady government, but as a br citizen, I'm not quite appreciative of the one candidate that seems to represent the embryo of everything that went horrible in my country over a period of 12 years.

But hey, its your country :v. I'm happy mine is at least putting some people behind bars after fucking up our future for the next +10 years with the "everything that isn't us is evil and so is capitalism lol" thing lots of amurikan people seem infatuated with lately.

Was it neccesary to link the site? lol...

Anyways, (potential) bad news for Sanders fans: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/04/sanders-campaign-begins-laying-off-staff-222552 Doesn't really say where or to what extent, but it could just mean that he is running leaner and focusing on the states to come or something.

I mean, am I the only one who can't stand her voice? Something about what she says and the way she says it makes me want to smack her in the head with a brick.

I didn't generally wear my hearingaids during the debates (because reasons) and stuff, but somehow I imagine her as talking with a sarcastic voice most of the time, might be the general expressions she does. Maybe not sarcastic, just, I dunno, it's like what Ispil said, it's the way she says it, like prissy? dunno.

Well, it's not that everyone's shady so much as that Trump either believes webpages that post untrue conspiracy theories, or pretends to, either of which makes him a dangerous person to elect: Either his perception of the world has no relation to reality, or he's deliberately saying things that have no relation to reality - i.e. using bullshit and conspiracy theories as propaganda to get people angry and motivated because he's the only person "telling it like it is" (meaning repeating the bullshit that a significant portion of the voting public already believes).

But he also manages to appeal to different people for different reasons, with, apparently, folks ignoring the things they don't believe because reasons?

That sounds like the usual republican far right echo chamber really.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/04/fiorina-cruz-criticism-222555

I may just be missing a super-freighter load of context behind it, but don't the words in the snippet seem a little, well, off?

“I know two girls that I just adore. I’m so happy I can see them more. ‘Cause we travel on the bus all day. We get to play. We get to play,”

From the wiki page for her, it sounds like she is unable to have children for whatever medical reason and it's entirely plausible that she truly has good intentions, buuuuuttttt..... I'm probably missing one or more super-freighter loads of background and context here.

edit: I'm not the only person who thought the song was a bit off: https://www.google.com/#q=carly+fiorina+song

It's also possible that she just likes to sing and uses it as a way of expressing herself: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/09/22/carly-fiorina-sings-a-song-she-made-up-for-her-dog-on-the-tonight-show/ Which isn't a bad thing in itself... It's just that making a song for Cruz's daughters, who, for all I know, barely even know her at all, is a little wierd.

Edit: Just had an odd thought myself, I hope she doesn't turn the campaign into a semi-musical. Don't get me wrong, my grandmother on my dads side sang for the choir and very occasionally outside of it and I know people have quirks like signging in the shower and stuff, buuuuuhhhh..... I dunno, it's just the illogicality dunno, erf.

edit2 or 3: I'm really not making a judgement right now and am erring on the side of 'personality quirk and is just a way she expresses herself'.

I think Trump might have this one locked up. He only needs 250 of the available 583 delegates remaining and he's got fairly comfortable leads in all of the states I've checked. So we ought to at least be spared from Fiorina's return, unless he picks her up for some mysterious reason.

Nah, Fiorina hates Trumps guts too much to sign on with him, even if it was her dream cabinet position.

Lolwut.

And ironically this was the high point of the post.

I wonder if he's having second thoughts of 'oh crap, I think I made a stupid mistake here' with the song that she did.

Also, 538 agrees that it's out of desperation too: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/what-fiorina-has-in-common-with-palin-and-ferraro-other-than-gender/

The really major difference here is that Palin and Ferraro were nominated late, at the convention for Ferraro in July and August 29th (the Republican convention in 2008 was REALLY late, september 3rd) for Palin. Here, it's barely the end of April, so, it looks even MORE desperate than those two examples.

I'm definetly seeing this as an attempt to force Trumps VP pick faster than he would prefer.

Somehow I doubt having a female as an alternative to Trump's brand of misogyny is really going to help him. I think if he had found a different female running mate than Fiorina, that might have caused a splash, might have given him some positive attention. Coopting the only other female Republican female candidate though, that wasn't doing that great before, just doesn't seem to earn him anything. My guess is she will serve as Cruz's pitbull and do the attacks on Trump, especially in response to gender. It's just not going to be that effective I think.

But I do enjoy the "Oh we're so close already!" propaganda.
