Apropos to nothing, it always entertains me when people say "Bernie Sanders is socialist!" It's kind of like bursting into a gay bar and screaming "Don't you realize you're all HOMOSEXUALS?!"

Trillions actually, the national stock market capitalization declined from 16 trillion in 1999 to 11 trillion in 2002.  But one third of the wealth of the nation certainly didn't disappear.  The dot com bubble had less impact on the real goods economy then the housing bubble would later have.  Far fewer people were employed, far less construction was done.  People were bidding up the price of inflated assets but those assets were treated like unobtanium so the distortion wasn't that bad.

If you can't see how Clinton is riding the Woman President hype train as an electoral strategy, then you are willfully ignorant of it.

I can see her trying to do that, yes and she has been trying, but that hype doesn't seem very hype-ey. I mean, it's nowhere near the same level as it was for Obama.

I'm totally cool with a woman president (I think she would be kind of the American equivalent of Margaret Thatcher), just would be nice if we had more choices besides Clinton.

Not sure Maggie is the best thing to be compared to... but I'm Scottish, so I'm like, super-biased in that respect. She was also super conservative.

Maggie was polarizing enough she had a state funeral and the week she died "The Witch is Dead" was number one in the charts.

Oh god know.  I would vote for Trump to avoid that.  I want my first time with a woman president to be something special.  Someone who will transform me into a more complete and mature citizen.

I'm just trying to compare her to something to better visualize her or something I guess. Maybe there isn't really anything comparable. I have no clue what I'm talking about with comparing with Margaret Thatcher anyway.

Merkel would be a better choice. Nothing about her politics, but just because she's not as universally polarizing as Thatcher was.

Please, everyone knows that Bernie Sanders only hungers for the flesh of the innocent because Hilary Clinton placed a blood curse on him. This is yet another example of how a Hilary presidency would just be eight more years of business as usual.

I don't know that I've ever said she was corrupt. I've said that I don't like her, and that there's a perception that she's corrupt/dishonest (and I shouldn't have to link 10,000 polling results, editorials, etc. to support that assertion).

I do think she is too closely aligned with corporatist interests, and as I said a page or so ago, she represents the pro-globalization centrist camp, which I fundamentally disagree with. She has also changed her stances on a number of issues, in a manner which seems more to do with political expedience than a genuine change of heart. Again, evidence abounds of this, and I'm hardly the only one saying it. You, on the other hand, are literally the only person on the Internet invoking a "Sanders is a Jewish devil" meme.

Sanders has consistently opposed free trade deals in Congress, Clinton has typically supported them (with the exception of CAFTA). She was for NAFTA, then she was against it. Incidentally, her change of heart on NAFTA came in late 2007 as she was gearing up for a Presidential run. That's exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about.

On immigration, she was "tough" rhetorically on immigration in 2005, but remarkably in 2007, she became far more immigrant-friendly.
On foriegn policy, she voted to authorize the use of force in Iraq in 2002. Sanders voted against. As late as Feb 2007, she was still claiming that her vote was not a mistake. By the fall she was calling it "Bush's War" and trying to disavow herself completely from it.

It's almost as if she was zapped by a liberal ray in 2007, and suddenly began espousing what people like Bernie Sanders had been espousing for 30 years. Funny how that seemed to happen just before she filed to run for President. I'm sure it's just that the liberal ray supercharged her desire to serve the American people. Yeah, that's it.

Literally reading the first page of google results shows that maybe only two of them actually are talking about Sanders as a Jewish devil, the rest are all things that just happen to mention Sanders, Jews, and the devil on the same page, and one of them actually appears to be some form of fiction that happens to mention a teacher named "Mr Sanders" drawing the only jewish student's paper randomly from a stack.
