Well he was comparing to 2008.  I think the candidates are more different then in 2008.  Maybe a lot of voters were unaware that the vote is proportional not winner takes all and thought it didn't matter because Clinton was going to win.

This is a real possibility. Since I started catching more mainstream news on TV, I've noticed how poorly the whole system is explained. Delegates are almost never mentioned, and where they are, it's not explained how they're distributed. I've heard it maybe once the whole cycle even hinted that it's not winner-take-all, and this was back when they were trying to explain the confusing process of the Iowa caucus. All the TV stations ever say is "X won this state."

As much as I hate their site design and a lot of the non-Nate Silver contributors (I don't even particularly like Silver, but I respect his statistics.), I find myself turning to 538 out of necessity simply because they don't shy away from the intricacies of the race.

Dude, that's about as bad as voting for Hillary because she has a vagina. Yes, it'd be great to have a female President. Just not THAT female. It'd be great to have a GenX President. But not THAT GenX'er.

Yeah, it's much more important to vote for Hillary because Sanders is a Canaanite who ritually sacrifices children to Baal.

(Personally, I think Trump isn't going to make it through the general election, because BUILD A WALL THROW OUT THE MEXICANS BAN MUSLIMS RAID MOSQUES isn't going to go over well with people who aren't racist xenophobes - and he's so vulnerable to being Goldwatered.)
Here's an old video of a foreign-born Muslim President taking the "gold water" out of a visibly unamused Mr Trump.

There'll be a worldwide popcorn shortage when the dems intensify their piss-taking for the general election.

You know voter turnout can swing things, right? Staying home because you think Bernie Sanders can't win, or voting in the *other* primary is just contributing to Hillary's delegate lead, since all the democratic primaries are proportional.

If by 'Goldwatered', you mean get defeated in a massive landslide, yeah, he's vulnerable to that. But the thing is, 2016 is not the same as 1964, the political landscape is hugely different, Trump looks like he could be more competitive than Goldwater was (you have to remember that there are going to be some who won't vote for Trump OR Hillary), and theres the multiple wildcards of potential independent runs on both sides (the republicans are exploring having someone run as independent, and theres Bloomberg), and whatever happens with the conventions on both sides.

Can I vote Chris Rock for President? It's not like he lacks experience.

(the republicans are exploring having someone run as independent, and theres Bloomberg)

That's a question. I have little doubt that a Republican establishment backed independent would do little more than spoil the election for Trump, ensuring a democratic win.

But... is that viewed as a better option than Trump? What is worse to the establishment Republicans, a Trump presidency and the consequences that whatever happens during his term affect their standing as a party, or 4-8 more years of a Democrat in the Whitehouse?

I guess the answer to that would be how much of the divisive toxic bullshit that's being thrown back and forth do the party leaders themselves believe.

Didn't the Republicans do that noone is gonna run as an Independent pledge thing?  Obviously so Trump wouldn't go independent when everyone predicted he would lose horribly...

So, I was thinking about who Trump would pick for Vice-President, and discovered something very interesting.

His daughter- this is the one he said he'd be dating if he weren't here father, by the way- turns 35 the week before Election Day.

Can it be possible?

Trump did say he'd pick a political insider, she doesn't have those credentials.

... She is easy on the eyes.  How is she even related?

That was before Trump refused to fall and started running away with the delegates. The whole point of that was to keep Trump from deciding to run as independent and screwing the election for the republicans because spoiler effect.

Even if they DO have an independent bid go, the spoiler effect will still be in play (notice how all the stuff preventing independents and third parties from thriving comes to bite the republicans in the ass here?) and they'll lose the election anyway. Unless Sanders runs as independent (I doubt it, though he was origionally independent) or maybe Bloomberg jumps in, which will turn the whole thing into an interesting four way race come november.

BTW, we haven't had a truly four way race since 1860. There was one in 1912, but that looks more like a three way than four way.

Trump did say he'd pick a political insider, she doesn't have those credentials.

... She is easy on the eyes.  How is she even related?

She isn't 60+ years old for starters.

Peter Noone is going to run?  Wikipedia says he was born in England.

All the republican candidates in the debates pledged not to run as independents but that doesn't mean there is no one they couldn't offer as a third party challenger.  Scott Walker seems like their best high profile candidate who didn't enter the race so he didn't make the pledge.
