So, Congress has returned. Shutdown over Planned Parenthood when?
When they want to cause news.

Again.

September is a busy month. We have:
  • King Salman of Saudi Arabia arrives for his first visit
  • Pope Francis comes to America for the first time ever and will deliver a speech to Congress
  • The General Assembly convenes, with a crucial climate pact in the works.
  • Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping arrives for a state visit, with Chinese hacking, the South China Sea, Climate Change, China's aggressive hunting of expats, and China's economic wobbles to discuss.
  • Planned Parenthood possible shutdown
  • Iran Deal deadline
  • Another Republican debate
  • Stephen Colbert returns. His first guest? Jeb Bush.

You should add 'Biden probably gets in the Democratic race'. Kind of funny how he's not in the race or doing much campaigning and yet he's in the polls.

He would also provide an alternative to Hillary for those that don't want Hillary, but don't want to go Sanders either. Not to mention actually being competitive, declining Hillary numbers nonwithstanding.

It's a 50/50 chance, he's kind of been on the fence for a couple weeks, so, he either will or he won't.

He hasn't said he absolutely will run, but on the flip side, he hasn't said he absolutely won't run.

Is there a figurative sense that one uses the phrase "50/50"?  ???

But why do you think it's a 50/50 chance?
well look there's only two options and one of them has to be picked so 1/2 = 0.5 times 100 percentage points equals 50/50

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I am literally frustrated by the semantics of literally right now.
So you've ceased to be a living organism and have become a very specific abstract emotional response?  :P

Interestingly, a new poll out today from Monmouth has Biden ahead of Sanders, 22-20. Clinton's still way out in front with 42, but that's more grist for the Uncle Joe rumor mill.

Figurative abuse of literal literal, metaphorically right here, literally right now. It's like some kind of abstract euphemism for the political process.
